negative blood test but turned out to be pregnant ?

edited February 2011 in Trying to conceive
Any of you ladies had a negative blood test and yet turned out to be pregnant ?

I am delayed for four days now and blood test says negative but my body is saying something else ...abdominal cramps for a week plus lower back pains ....

Replies would be deeply appreciated .

  • I was positive i was prego, hubbub was sure, and our dry was sure, i did a blood test and waited the 2 hours but when we got the call i was devistated. Apparently blood test is the most accurate test......Im sorry to not be more positive, they told me that the test has over a 95% accuracy. Hopefully you are in that 5% ;) Wait a few days and take a hpt. Good luck keep us posted.
  • I was wondering if this would happen to me So I looked it up. A blood test will show 8-10 days after conception in most women. Can be earlier can be later but if its been 10 days since you would have concieved then It may be doubtful :( I'm testing 7days after so I'm worrying ill get a negative...
  • my problem is that I always get psyched up and take a test way too fast : (
  • Me too ! I think I tested on the day am expecting my period and so when it turned out negative ....I was way anxious coz my body is saying otherwise :)
  • i'm trying to wait a week before i get another test as last time we tested it said it was negative (bt and hpt). i'm now 2 days late for my period and hoping that i am! weeee!
  • That happened to me! I took a blood test on dec 5 and it came back neg. I took amother test ( this time the digital home test) on dec 25 and it came back pos! So yes it is very possible :)
  • opps my bad. i mean on jan. i had those tests on jan. sry ultimately ive been spacing out.
  • Oh thanks for the info! I will keep you all posted
  • Idk I think I could have had a false neg blood test because my body was saying I was preggo big time. But everything I looked up said there was no way and everyone says it isn't possible. I'm so super confused about it. I guess I'll see. I hope it works out for you! Keep us posted!
