Hi ladies ! So I want to start buying things that I'm going to need the most the first months after delivery . I know I'm going to need diapers ! But about how many boxes a month etc ? Any experienced moms have any ideas ?:)
Well u won't need many newborn diapers size one will be more used. But you will also want wipes and burping cloths. Recieving blankets and my daughter loved her swing
A bassinet or cradle to keep her in by your bed, nursing or feeding accessories (bottles, breast pads, formula, burp clothes, etc.), onesies or pajamas, receiving/swaddling blankets.
New borns are really messy, so have lots of recieving blankets ,bibs, blankets and sleepers. I found ivory snow detergent awesome too kas it doesnt agitate their skin. Also, lots of butt cream. Lol, having a baby is a lot harder when their fussy from sore bum.
rubbing alcohol for the cord stump, lots of lotion, bath supplies, onsies, burp cloths, sleepers, swaddling/receiving blankets, wipes, diapers. With diapers, my daughter was 7lbs 9oz, when we brought her home she was 6lbs 4oz. She was in newborn diapers until she was 2 months old. Everyone is different but that's how my baby was, then 1's until 4 months, 2's until 5 months, 3's until 7 months, and she is 15 months old, 22lbs, and still comfortably in 4's. We bought 3 boxes of newborn diapers and used them all plus bought 3 or more boxes after that. They go through around 12+ diapers a day, so a box only lasts bout a week. good luck hun and congrats!!
@blueberrysmom that's so true. You'll need obvious things diapers wipes car seat sleepers blankets and another adult to help you around the house. Someone who can cook babysit or do laundry depending on the day. If you have 3 adults u will probably be able to get 4-6 hours of solid test a day!! It will make u feel like a new person to hit the 4-6 hr mark!!
You will need alcohol to clean the umbilical cord, and vaseline to keep it moist until it falls off. Cotton balls, and safe qtips. Baby oil/lotio so baby doesnt dry out from exposure to the preside of the womb, and to prevent cradle cap. Tons of blankets and burp cloths as well as bibs. Get 4oz bottles for the first several months, the big bottles are too much for a while.
@kcantu2 ROFL. I read you'll need alcohal and all I could think of was a big fat margarita or some guiness or something....you can see where my brain is at
