Why in this world can I not stop....i dony drink any caffiene for a week then I literally crave them. It makes me feeel so guilty.....but I neeed one. I feel like shit.
I know how u feel I have to have one on my work nights but I figure I dnt drink coffee or smoke or do anything so red bull is my guilty pleasure I j dnt over do it
See I have 2 addictions smoking and red bulls ive quit smoking but I relapse. I drank red bulls but I cut back sooo much and I didnt drink em for a long time. Then I started feeling tired again cuz the pregnancy n I would have one. My doctor said quitting anything cold turkey isnt ganna be good either.
A can of soda is 12 oz n has like 20 mg less of a 16 ounce redbull I think but I dont ever have sugary or cafinated stuff.
@babymamma18 I always liked energy drinks but when my boss who was only mid twenties had his doctor tell him they were damaging his heart my fiancee and I started researching it. Most of the ingredients that give the effect are forms of b vitamins. We talked to a couple pharmacists and they said that taking a b complex vitamin everyday would give me the same energy boost I was missing from the coffee n red bulls. I've been takin 1 every morning ever since and don't miss the caffiene or feel tired. It works...maybe u could try it:) its also much cheaper!
Its soooo hard I was such an addict before I had to have one or I wouldnt function at all. Ive been hooked for like 4 years no kidding. My doctor said I was really healthy n I told her how much I would drink before i got preggo and she just said oh that is way to much sugar lol
Well I'm not sure who put red bulls are gonna hurt the person and the baby but I have checked on that and there is less caffeine in a red bull than in coffee gosh closed minded people ots not like popping pills or smoking crac*
@ashleyfew sorry for the delay...I have Meijer Naturals B-Complex w/Vitamin C-says essential b vitamins for energy production, right now. I've had other brands, it's just a combo of the B Vitamins. Paid about $7 for 250. It has Niacin, Thiamin, Riboflavin, Folate, B6, B12, Biotin and Panthenic Acid. A lot of those are the ingredients in Monster and some in RedBull. I didn't know that too much niacin was bad. I had both pharmacists and my OB tell me it was ok to use these. But the Niacin is 500% of daily value. What can that do? Now I'm gettin worried since I've used these to replace my coffee and energy drinks for over a year now and I'm almost 22 weeks into the pregnancy and had them every day.
Just drink one I think its a load of BS!! I had to drink coffee with my first because I worked graveyard and my doc told me not to stop smoking so I wouldn't put my body in shock and kill the baby. I cut back a lot but never quit. And my son was and is 100% perfect and never had any issues. The only big no no is drugs and alcohol. So if you're craving an energy drink get one drink half and drink half later if you're that worried about it. But like I said its BS!
@ashleyfew...ok, now I've been researching, so far found that 35mg niacin per day is safe in pregnancy, they haven't studied the higher values yet. The vitamins I was taking 1 per day though it says a serving is 2 have 50mg in each not counting whatever is in my prenatal. I'll be calling the doctor tomorrow to ask:)
