If You've Had A M/C...

Do you recall how long you bled out if you didn't have a D&C? I am just curious as if I am bleeding too much. I plan on asking my doctor tomorrow at my follow-up appointment as well, just wanted some responses from some mommas who have also gone through this.

I read on-line that on average it is about 6-10 days. I have been since late Thursday afternoon but it is starting to slack up a good bit.

    I'm so sorry to hear that!!! Mine lasted about two weeks it was awful!! When I finally went to the hospital they did nothing!! They didn't even check me!!

    @JessL Wow! I'm sorry. That's messed up they didn't check cause that can be life threatening. I am glad they checked me given my history.

    Have you been able to conceive and carry to term since then?

    I remember I blead a lot a lot like I couldn't even stand anywere nnaked without dripping blood everywhere. I'm sorry about your loss

    My sis n law had a mc but.she concieved a month later n she 6month now..pregnancy is goin go for her

    @JessL @andrea1stbby I forgot to ask how far along where y'all when you m/c'd if I am not asking too much? I was almost 5 weeks.

    I just stopped bleeding today. So it took me a week. Mine was super heaving and I had cramps the whole time. I hope yours stops soon:) im sorry you lost your baby. Good luck in the future.

    @kara_lamek that's good that it is stopping. I am tired of seeing mine. I just went to potty and there is barely anything so I think it'll stop soon.

    I am sorry for your loss as well. How far along were you?

    I was almost 8weeks when I miscarried. I'm pregnant now and am almost 5wks

    I'm sorry that you all are going through this...
    I mc last year at 5 weeks and bled for like 2 weeks.
    I am now 6 weeks pregnant, and so far so good... Just pretty anxious to get through this trimester!

    @michelet yes the 1st trimester is such a fragile time. i just wish there was something that could be done to virtually eliminate the incidence of miscarriage. You can do everything right (eat, take your prenatals, etc.) but the risk of m/c'ing is still going to be there.

    Hope this one sticks for you as well.

    I had a miscarriage in May 2010 and was just 5 weeks along. I bled for about a week. I had another miscarriage in November but was only 4 weeks. I wouldn't have known if I wasn't trying. The bleeding started right on time as my period and lasted about my normal 5 days. I'm 5 weeks pregnant again and keeping my fingers crossed. Good luck to you in the future!

    I had a m/c in Oct. I was 7 weeks. I am now 6 weeks and all is well so far.

    I was only 5 weeks when I m/c I bled for 3 or 4 days but I had spotting everyday for 5 weeks. It really threw us because I didn't know when I was ovulating and we still wanted to ttc. However I never pregnant 2 months later and I'm 26 weeks today! Good luck with the future x

    I don't know how far along I was but I blead. For almost a month. It was light the whole time tho

    Mine was like a regular period. Just a bit heavier but I bled for only about a week

    I has a d&c n May 2007 n bled lik 2wks, I got preggo again n 2008 carried my son full term n delivrd March 2009 he his almst 2 & im currently preggo wit a gurl due June 8th.

    I m/c 4 month ago I bleed for about 2 weeks was in hospital 4 4 days I was in loads of pain I was on morphine while I was in hospital there is a lot of blood the first week but soon slows down I was 10 weeks and 4 days I am pregnant again now thank god I am 7 weeks and 1 day

    I was 2 months along when I m/c. I had a m/c in may and found out I was pregnant in june :)) idk why it happened. I was under alot of stress. I'm 35 weeks now though :))

    So sorry for all u women that have had to go thru this. My m/c was called a blighted ovum (just an empty sac, the baby never formed) I was 9 weeks, and i bled for 3 weeks. My dr thought maybe i had a m/c and then got my period right after. It felt like forever, i just wanted it to stop so i would stop being reminded of my loss everytime i used the bathroom. That was in oct and im now almost 10 weeks.

    I was 6 weeks and 4 days. I bled for about 2 weeks. Keep an eye on the amount of blood. My doctor told me if I had to change my pad more than 1x every two hours to call her.

    @2ndtimearound I had a blighted ovum too. I was 10 wks but the sac only measured 6 wks.

    Same here blighted ovum, I was 7w but sac only measured 4 w.5d .. This was 6 days ago bleeding has stopped .. Ttc right way

    @soon2be3 the ob had to put me on progesterone after my miscarriage because my body just wouldn't have a period for two months even though I had no hcg in my system. I was having a lot of uterine pain and cramping. In august I finally bled so I began ttc by charting my temperatures and using fertilityfriend.com and that month a fell pregnant. So don't give up the faith because it will happen!
