Itchy belly?!

My belly has been itching like crazy the past couple of days. I didnt think anything of it till DF told me at the bottom of my belly it was red from itching it so much. I called my drs office and they told me to use hydrocortisone cream. So I got some and it is NOT helping. :( I see the dr tomorrow morning but I dont know why she didnt have me come in today to see if im okay. im 38weeks 1day. Does anyone know what can stop the itch?

    When u find the cure tell me I've been itching like crazy too n I have stretch marks already from my first... so am I gonna get stretch marks on top of my stretch marks :O :'(

    Use a warm both my son has eczema and that helps

    don't scratch grease ur stomach if u don't have bio oil u gan use hair grease with vitamin e in it

    @Mommyy2Be oh I already have stretch marks :( they are now res and have.tiny bumps.

    Dont use to much cortisone dream cause it has steps in it. U can use a soap that people used back in the day it's called lye soap

    IM 38 WKS && 3 DAYS.. MY BELLY & SKIN JUST BEEN ITCHN LIKE CRAZY FOR BOUT 2 DAYS.. I USE BIO OIL ON MY BELLY. IT SEEMS TO HELP A BIT. THIS IS MY FIRST. I STARTED GETTN STRETCH MARKS DURING MY. 8TH MONTH. IM SO MAD ABOUT IT.. BUT I GO TO THE DOCS TOMORRW N IM GOIN TO ASK THEM Y IS MY SKIN SO ITCHY ALL OF A SUDDEN

    I was just reading in the new issue of American Baby that the itching is caused by stretch marks & to use calamine lotion on your stomach.

    @statKrazie oh ya I know its because of stretch marks. But ive had stretch marks since the beginning and now they are worse and its an uncontrolable itch :(

    Try as hard as you can not to itch it will cause your skin to dry out and irritate then stretch marks. Just keep moisturized

    Have you tried baby oil? It helped me in my first tri when i was really itchy.. i aplied it morning and night and brought baby oil lotion to work.. g/l

    @kritten_octoberbby no havent.tried that. Im scares to try anything now because on my stretch marks it has tiny bumps that rly itch :( I see the dr tomorrow at ten. Hopefully he can help?

    I am 14 weeks and have the samme problem except it is my breasts that itch like crazy. You think it is the same reason? They are just growing and stretch marks are coming? Any one else ever have this problem?

    The itch is worse now because the skin is stretched as far as it can go but baby's still growing so the stretch marks are getting tighter. It's not so bad early in pregnancy because your bump isn't as big plus the skin is still loose.

    Lol. My doctor told me my son was gonna be at least 9lbs if not 10 & he was only 7lbs 11oz. Did they give you a measurment at your last appt? My dr surprised me today & is sending me for another u/s tmrw because my lil girl has been small so far.

    @StarKrayzie at 34 weeks he was 5 ibs 12 oz and my dr wants one more this week or next week. She said hes a week and half ahead and in the.70th percentile.

    My previous doctor is being an ass & won't send my new doctor my records & the baby is measuring small but I'm measuring bigger even tho I've only gained 4lbs so my doctor is having a hard time w/ my due date because they're afraid she may not be developed enough so I see the doctor every 2 weeks & get an u/s every 4 now.

    @StarKrayzie how far are you? My dr said the jtching was normal but my lower belly is swollen so he said swimming will help the swelling so it wont stretch more.

    I'm supposed to be almost 28 weeks. Well I hope you get some relief. I love to swim but haven't been able to this pregnancy.
