lil aggravated

edited April 2011 in First Trimester
Im 6w2d, i already have done blood work to confirm. Went to see the dr today for what i thought would be my first ob appt, and she said not to come back til im 10-12 weeks. Thats the whole first trim! Ive already have had a m/c in the past. Dont see y they have to wait until fhe 2nd trimester to see if the baby is ok. If im already there, u would think they would have examined me or something

  • if u can and insurance allows, go to another OB or midwife. They all practice a little differently and you might be able to get in sooner. Mine saw me at 8 weeks and did a trans vag ultrasound to confirm along with a blood test. You should b able to find one that will see you sooner than 10-12wks. Especially if you are worried. Good luck to u.
  • Ty so much for the advice
  • I would do 1 of 2 things...either talk to your doctor about your concerns or Find a new dr
  • Thanks, its just kind of hard bc im in the army and they give u wat they give u. Its free medical, but u get wat u paid for
  • I'm in the army too and ask for an off post referral that might help.
  • Wow, I went in at six weeks and when they had me do pee test is when I found out I was bleeding and two days later in ER. ok now, but if I were you I'd see about another practice...
  • Wow I went in at 5 weeks for an u/s n a check up n am going today to c a u/s to c the baby n in may 12 or that week am goin for a check up again. I had my blood work done at 5 weeks. Now am 7w5d
  • Yea that sounds silly. I'm 6w2d too! I have already been to the doctor twice. Once last Wednesday to confirm with a pelvic exam and yesterday for first u/s and tons of blood work and urine test. They already scheduled my next appointment in 4 weeks. I would be nervous too if they wouldn't want to see me. Plus if they didn't do an ultrasound to actually confirm your e.d.d can be off. Last week they said I was 10w but yesterday confirmed only 6w2d. I know all Dr.s are different though! Good luck!
