I have given my little girl (now 15 months) a bath every night since she was born (sponge bath until the stump fell off), haven't missed one night and lotion her after it every night and when they are little, in the morning as well. Her skin never once got dry. Its been an amazing bedtime routine, she knows right after bath its bedtime, and she has slept through the night since 5 weeks old
I wiped my baby down twice a day until his cord fell off, then I physically put him in his tub daily. I used lotion while I was still in the hospital and they didn't say it wasn't safe so I guess it was ok.
Only ever used lotion on my daughters feet. She never gets dry skin. She sweats a lot in her sleep so she would have just been a little greasy mess lol. Bath every other day bc no one needs a bath everyday.
The nurses at the hospital told me every other day for the bath, and lotion as often as you want. They daid baths more often than every other day, dries out the baby's skin.
I was told not to use lotion on their lil bodies its rare that babies experience dry skin. I've never used lotion with any of my 4 sons while they were newborns. As far as baths go I easy them up everyday until their uc fell off then the tub every other day their skin is so delicate :-) don't forget to get u a mice warm bath somewhere you need a lil mommy time!!! Congrats and good luck
@proudmomma I remember a Monday night I went to sleep at 2am and on Tuesday morning at 4am I was up and on my way to the hospital to be induced. Stayed up until around midnight or so, and wasn't that tired. I guess just having the baby made me so excited I didn't wanna sleep.
Now, he is four weeks old and some days I'm very exhausted.
Do you have someone to take care of her while you get some sleep?
Well she wakes up at midnight then two then four then seven. So her schedule isn't bad. Daddy is going to take her now so I can pass out. My milk isn't coming in I haven't been pumping much cause I'm so tired. I tried to breast feed again but she wont wake up really for it. She is always sleeping. I use a baby wipe to gently wake her but it doesn't work. Any suggestions to get her more awake more often? She touches me and is passed out
