I am being induced Sunday night and wanted to go shopping today for groceries/household stuff that will make the next few weeks of our lives easier. Any suggestions? Especially stuff for easy dinner meals, etc?

  • Great question but I dont have a good answer lol.
  • At least you are honest! Haha
  • Paper plates, as for dinner, I plan on delivery for the first 3 days ;) we have chinese, pizza, and subs down the road. I'm no rachael ray in the kitchen. Goid luck tho Sunday!!!
  • Id say get some basics. Bread milk cheese eggs lunch meat. Bananas apples & oranges last a while. If your bottle feeding get baby water...lots. get canned soups & maybe tv dinners & frozen pizza. Quick fixes. Good luck to u & baby!!!
  • @Jaime77 good ideas!! Paper plates & plastic utensils. Id hate for dishes to pile up! Get TP & paper towels too!!
  • Tuna cans, ravioli, mac & cheese, go shop at Sams you get more for your $$!
  • Chicken, Mac and cheese, hamburger helper, premade lasagnas.
  • How many are you cooking for? Stoufers has some great meals for 1, 2, or up to 6.

Maybe a bag of salad or two.

Breakfast for dinner is easy with eggs, bacon or sausage, Pillsbury croissants or biscuits or frozen hash browns. And pancakes!

They make a lot of pasta sauces in a jar. You can get some marinara, just add ground beef it turkey and noodles. Or fettucini and add chicken and noodles.

And homemade pizza with either an already cooked crust or at least dough is quick and easy.
  • Um somebody posted one time that you should get medical supplies for your recovery. Like sterile wipes or something. Look that up cuz I have no idea. For some quick meals... lettuce + frozen fries +precooked chic strips =quick grilled chicken salad. You could make ahead and lasagna or casserole n freeze em. Pasta n sauce for spaghetti night. Minute rice, sautéed chic chinks, n broccoli for an easy Chinese dish. Pre-marinated pork tenderloin usually only takes 30-40 minutes to bake. N I'd suggest snacks n sweets for comfort food lol. Maybe make sure you have enough pet food need stuff for breakfasts n lunches too
  • @jordanalexandra I would say pick up easy meals that u could possibly even make beforehand and refrigerate this way its ready and just needs to be cooked...or easy stuff like chili..spaghetti..sloppy joes..tacos..frozen pizzas..lunch meats..hot dogs..mac n cheese..etc. ..and don't forget toilet paper and PADS (or as my mom calls them, mattresses! LoL) ..I have a delicious and easy recipe for chili if ur interested :)
  • *chicken chunks lol
