  • I never didone with my first. Was 19 didn't know anything. Now I'm almost 31. I shop & read sale papers. I want a Boppy!!! & a cradle swing!! 2 things I'm 100% getting somehow. Lol.
  • Oops also I heard register for diapers & wipes. Most people don't & should. I'm doing that too. How many weeks r u? I'm 17.

I put the Stokke stroller and every possible accessory on mine. I'm dying to see who thinks I'm worth a $1,200 stroller!
  • Ooooh! Take a look at the Mommaroo. It's so cool!
  • @one5one boppys and wonderful! And now there are so many cute designs, I was 19 with my first also but its amazing to see how much things have changed!
  • Skip the diaper genie and wipe warmer in my opinion. Make sure you get blankets, outfits, DIAPERS DIAPERS DIAPERS, wipes, tub for baby, nighttime baby bath and lotion (lifesavers!), towels for baby, bouncy chair, ear thermometer, fingernail clippers, lots of onsies, burp cloths, wash cloths, bottles if using them, pacifiers if using them, pack and play, socks, and whatever else you don't have that you would like people to help with hun, like car seat, stroller, crib, etc. :) hope this helps
  • @blueberrysmom lol I think were gonna register for this chicco stroller($320) and I feel bad about that..but I guess I shouldn't cuz that's what showers are for right?! Lol also, the mommaroo is awesome but again I'm not sure that anyone would spend that much...but we can hope! Hehe

@one5one I'm 21 wks...Ill probably do diapers and wipes but I think its one of those things pple will buy registered or not..

    Thanks ladies! :)
  • I didn't register for a video monitor with my 1st child & bought one when he was 12 months old. Best investment ever...I plan on using it with our 2nd child too.
  • @mommyoftwoprincesses thanks! I've been outta the game for a bit and actually got rid of ALL of my baby stuff last year cuz we weren't planning on having more yet (go figure), so I don't have a single thing and I know that a lot has changed so thanks for the suggestions! What kind of bottles would u recommend?
  • You gotta try! Who are you to deny these kind people the opportunity to spend lots of cash on you and your kid? Don't be so selfish! :p
  • I love the little keychain dispenser for diaper bags that hangs easily on diaper bag plus refills. Cheap but so useful on the go!!!
  • @blueberrysmom hahaha how could I be so selfish!

@jellybelly1015 ill look for that! Its all about convenience! :)
  • DIAPERS!!!!!! I would not get a diaper genie they really are a waste of money. You will probably keep it in the baby's room and how often are you gonna change the baby's diaper in there?
  • Playtex bottles r good all my friends with babys uses them n love em cyz they dont let air in. But not to sound mean but you shiuld never exspect ppl to get you gifts at ur baby shower its nice if they do tho my friend informed me of that the other day
  • If ur planning on breastfeeding you should register for My Breast Friend nursing pillow. I had a boppy w/my 1st and it sucked. Grooming/1st aid kit, swing, carrier. The list could go on! If ur registering at babies r us they give u a great check list. If not I would see if they have the list online to print out. It can be a little overwhelming though. Good luck and have fun w/it.
  • I loved my diaper genie and always changed my daughter on her changing table, lol. My lifesaver was my infantino front pack....my daughter loved to be held and that would calm her down and I could still use my arms.
  • I heard tommee tippe bottles are amazing! They are at toys r us, otherwise Playtex vent air or drop ins :)
  • There is this soothing sound machine at Target that has various soothing sounds to stop baby from crying n one is a heartbeat sound. Baby is used to hearing ur heartbeat in the womb n its super soothing for them when they enter this new world! My friend told me about it n said its a must. I'm def putting it on my registry :)
  • I love my moby wrap-I can use it w my 2 yr.old (tho I don't lol) or my newborn baby girl. Plus u can nurse hands free. I loved their bumpo as well. I use the bobby nursing and love it. Both of my boys love their jumparoo. Papasan chair...ours vibrated and plays music. It is great for soothing baby when yr busy/can't hold her
I have been very disappointed w anything "munchkin" brand-cheap
  • If you go to babies r us to registrr they give you a registry guide. It helped me sooo much!
  • Well thanx ladies! After about 3 hours yesterday i think we did good..No babies r us this time we went with BUYBUY BABY..Love that store!! Soo much nicer, the people are very knowledgeable, there's soo much to choose from, and everyone was very helpful! The best thing too is that u can use bed bath & beyond coupons there! Awesome..I was very pleased over all :)
