Ok i've never had jury duty before and i just found out i have to be there at 8 in the morning or it's a 500 dollar fine. Can i asked to be dismissed since i'm pregnant?
I called when I was preggo with my second.I for excused cuz I asked how will it work if I get picked for a case and I need to see a Dr my unborn is important. They will ask you to fill out and send in the form explaining why just fill it in and send it. If you get picked again tell them ur a non working parent of a child under school age and you get excused again for a year at least in Los Angeles county does it like that
You should have gotten a letter in the mail way before now. I've been summoned for jury duty twice, first time got out if it cause of school second time was cause of this pregnancy and I ead only 8 weeks. But I filled out the paper and mailed it back. Not sure how it will work since you'll have to go up there.
Definitely call or write them. I was able to postpone it since I'll be a stay at home mom and I'll be considered baby's main provider. Even if you do plan in going back to work they should allow you to postpone. Good luck!!!
Where i live if you are in your last trimester of pregnancy you are excused from jury duty. You just have to bring proof that you are that far along. I also have 2 children that are under 3 and under and the judge told me to go home.
You could probably get out of it. When u go to the courthouse tell them that you have terrible all day sickness. They probably won't pick you to stay for the trial if you tell them that. Trust me you don't wanna get chosen to stay. They picked me and that mess lasted for four long days!!

I was scheduled for jury duty last week I'm 12 wks and have really bad morning sickness.....I called the jury number they told.me to.have my doctor sign the back part and mail it back to them ....I did and I haven't received any letter from them so hope I'm lucky and excused
I am 15 weeks, served last week. I went and was picked. It was a long two days but I sent in papers before and just let them know I was sck. When I went there they just asked if I was better I said yes.
