Has any new mom used the new Tommee Tippee closer to nature botttles?

I am looking for a bottle system that works with breastfeeding. I will only breastfeed for the first few months, but know that I will have to have some help from the hubby occasionally. Has anyone tried these? Or what have you used and had success with switching back and forth between breast and bottle? It has been 7 years since our last and there are so many new ones out there.

  • ****when I said that I will only breastfeed for the first few months...I meant that I won't be using a bottle at that time. But after the first couple of months, I will have to do both.
  • This is what I used my son had no problem! Only thing that will put him to bed now too! To be honest it doesn't look like a nipple but it fools em!

I breastfed and used those bottles and my daughter hated them. I switched to Dr.Brown and she hated those too. Good ole' Platex Drop-Ins were her fave...and mine as they were so easy to clean! I pumped into the Medella bottles or bags.

I used these last year for my daughter and she's one now. These are the best bottles ever! Super easy to clean and resemble the breast very easy to go back and fourth.
  • He just got his two bottom teeth and now its the only thing that will put him to bed! He thinks its a nipple! Lol
  • We used Playtex with our first daughter and that worked great for her...the only thing she would use next to the breast. Our 2nd daughter wouldn't use them and they didn't work for our son either. I loved them with our oldest though;-)
  • @baby2dec14yayy and @omof4plus1 Is Babies R Us the only place that carries them??
  • There the only bottles I've used with both my little ones
  • I got mine at target and I think my mom said she bought a few at Walmart.. look online at a few places and call a head to see if they have them in stock.
  • My hubby just looked at Target and didn't see them. HMmmmmm....I am going to have to do more research. They are so expensive that I want to make sure that they will be successful;-)
  • I believe that they are only sold at babiesrus.
  • Breast flow work great!
  • I just looked at some more reviews on tommee tippee and they were horrible. Ugh...I am glad I still have some time to figure this out;-)
  • I used the tommee tippee closer2 nature bottles wiv my daughter, the normal ones were ok for boiled water and juice but.....the anti colic 1's were rubbish leaked everywhere, my daughter was breast fed till 9mths and the only bottle she would take was a "Nuk" bottle!! Just hope this next 1 is a little less fussy!! Lol x
  • Wow I've bought these bottles, haven't used them yet as my baby is not due for now. They are meant to be very good I hear.
  • @yummymummy1 I have just been doing research on what bottles are good to use with breastfeeding and they were one of the top ones. But when I went into some sites that people have posted product comments almost all of them said that they leaked and/or that the nipples colapsed. But quite a few moms on here said that they loved them. I don't know...I know that with my other kiddos they all liked different ones, so I will buy several different kinds so that we are prepared.
  • @mommyo3soon2b4 ok that's good to know. I've checked out reviews too and come across the same thing but everyone I know that bought them and used them had said positive things. It's a good idea what your doing though
  • its what I used but u gota find wh&t works 4 each baby my 2nd didnt touch a bottle until he was 1 +e just couldbt drink from bottles n I tried everything
  • @yummymummy1 when are you due?
@bummy87 we went through that with our 1st and 3rd...it was difficult to find bottles they would use after nursing. I wish I could nurse the whole first year but with a home daycare and 3 kiddos in school who's activities keep me busy...I don't see that happening;-)
  • I'm due in august
  • I breastfed and bottle fed my daughter and used the avent bottles. I had a problem w them leaking w my first, who also loved them and was not breastfed, and called the company and they said not to close them too tight and it worked.
  • I used Avent bottles while breast feeding and my son got on great with them! Will be using them this time too
  • You can find them in Toy'R Us they have a new promotion for the bottles, well here in my country they look great im going to try all of the i buy two from each
