What is decidual bleeding?

I just read about in a post on here. I goggled it but not much help on the details? Be as graphic as can be.

Kind of weird how a friend can say one thing almost making me want to take out the out and test out another pad or pantyliner.

  • Decidual bleeding is when some women shed the lining of their uterus and the bleeding can be heavy enough to resemble a period. Keep hope and take a home test to be sure.

    Good luck
  • So it's like a mock period?
  • It can be like a period, yes.
  • Why would it shed if its not a period what's the point is it to shed bad tissues

Okay. How long does it last? See my family never told me about this stuff. Implantation, decidual bleeding, etc. I'm at a lost. I just changed my tamp. I put it in around 9:40 took it out and a few minutes ago and examined it and it was half bloody (and a mucus like) and brown around the tip. That has never happened before, except near end of my period or if I left the tampon in too long. It wasn't even in a full two hours. I'm now wearing a pad/liner and thinking of buying a test.
  • During early pregnancy, quick hormonal shifts in the body can cause ovulation or the thickening of the uterine lining despite the presence of a fertilized egg. The lining can shed which resembled a period. anyone with other pregnancy signs, such as regular nausea, increased breast size or tenderness, or sudden weight gain, should take a pregnancy test even if your period appear normal.

  • It all depends on your body how long it last, how heavy, etc. Just take a test or go to the doc and let him draw blood.
  • Okay. We'll see I'm gonna buy a test later on and see.
  • Good luck and keep me updated! I'm nervous all over again like when I first found out I was pregnant. :)
  • Will do and thanks.
  • Good luck let us know
  • Yeah. I am officially not pregnant. This is a good sign. Now I can talk to him about planning. I kind of got excited and hopeful. Never know. There is always. February 22nd. ;)
  • Aw I'm sorry sweetie, it'll happen when the time is right.
  • Thanks. Yeah I'm not gonna rush it or stress about it. I know one day my time will come.

That's what happened to me and my hubby. We tried for 5 months straight i cried and thought about all the unfit mothers that had 3 and 4 kids and we couldn't have 1.

We finally gave up and said eff it and I was about to get on the pill then BAM I found out I was 4 weeks pregnant with this little booger. Now I'm 6 weeks and couldn't be happier. Your time will come.
  • I'm happy for you and I wish you a healthy baby. It does seems like unfit ones just pop them out left and right and those who want to have them can't or takes forever.
  • Exactly...but it will happen in due time...keep up with your fertile days!
  • Thanks for the encouragement.
