The father of my child just told me that if he isn't there for the birth certificate signing that I can't ask him for anything. He said that's a new law passed in california. Is this true?
Absolutely not... you'll have to prove paternity if he doesn't but that's a dna test... just do some research on the subject to get more credible info wish I knew more .. Best of luck to u!
No way...if he is not there u will have to court order paternity test like @faithywp asaid. But it would not be too difficult...he will definitely have to give u child support or something if that's what u need.
