Omg!! Just came across this video on Youtube of this woman that breastfeeds her 8 year old!? 8 year old!! That is insane!! And she all saying something about it doesnt bother her and she dont see anything wrong with giving her children a few extra years out of her life....

    Gross. They say til seven is the most beneficial, but nowadays that is gonna get that kid teased. And you may be doing more harm than good. Plus that would make me feel awkward. Honey how was skool today. Good mom. okae time to eat... :O I plan on bfing for a year if I can make it that long.

    Im thinking like til like maybe 6, 7, or 8 months then that baby should be getting introduced to baby outmeal to prepare it for solids.

    When teething! ouch, thats when its gotta end. 8 yrs old thats very very wrong, though we have had a tv programme on in UK with a woman breastfeeding a 15 year old teenager so my guess is there are a few of these weirdos out there.

    When I start getting bit we r done. I can understand wanting ur child to continue getting breast milk bc of its benefits but dang...pump it! I try to have my kids weaned off bottles by 1 then its just sippy cups. No boob!

    Lol true, its just that i rasied my lil cousin for 2 years and we introduced him at about 4 1/2 months and we had so much trouble, it was horrible.

    I wouldn't ever want my child to have MEMORIES of sucking on my boobs. I think that would be traumatizing for them.
    My personal view is that a year old is the perfect time to wean. Although my sister breastfed til they were 2 - 2 1/2. But that's pushing it.

    I think is gross to have your kid that grown sucking on your boob lol the milk is very beneficial tho. I think I wouldnt mind pumping the milk into a cup for them but they sure wont be sucking on my boob after growing teeth lol
