  • I hope not! That scares me more than labor does
  • If you get an epidural you do but you can't feel it when they do it cause your already numb
  • Ugh I absolutely hate catheters! ew ew eww
  • U do not have to get one my sis had an epidural and did not get a cath
  • Whew! I was worrying about this too! Seems like it would hurt so bad!
  • You only need one if your epudural takes too long to go away. But normally they turn it off when its time to push and by the time you have your baby and get cleaned up and stuff you start getting feeling back
  • Only with epidurals I think. But they take it out once its time to push. They don't put it in til the epidural is working...at least that was my experience. Never felt it and once the epidural wore off it just kinda blends in with all the other discomfort
  • I had an epidural with my first 2 kids got a cathider with my son but not with my daughter I even asked about it cause I thought it was weird I didnt have 1 with my daughter. They dont always give u one.
  • the thing I hated most and they only did it with my son is they couldnt get a good reading on my contractions so they stuck something 2 track it better up there and taped it 2 my leg so when I had 2 get up and go 2 the bathroom I could feel it move every time I moved.
  • I suggest gwtting the cath if u have an epidural. W my first they didnt put one in and i labores a whole day w and epidural in and no going pee.... dont wanna freak u out but it almost killed me. No joke. They put it in after the epid so u dont even feel it.
  • I did with my first just bc they couldn't get a good monitor on her on the outside of my stomach bc she was moving too much
