I'm in the same posistion. Make sure you can take breaks and get off ur feet often. Drink lots of weater durning the day. If u are already used to the long hrs it shouldn't be to difficult. With my first I was able to work full time until I delivered. Just be carwful.,:) best of luck mommy
I'm 6 weeks too and i work as a receiver in a warehouse I'm on my feet all day 8-13hr shifts depending on ot i also lift 1-50lb boxes all day I hope this isn't bad for the baby I need my job
Yea I heard that its bad to lift like more then 60lbs so be careful. But I know I need my job too but my bf is joining the coast gaurd so I can stay home with the baby so I guess I wont have to do the long shifts for much longer
My doctor told me not to lift more than 25 lbs. I also work 12 hour shifts. It requires a lot of time on my feet but i've handled it pretty well. I just try to stay hydrated and sit when I can. Im 15 weeks now and by the end of my shift my lower back and feet hurt. Good luck to all of you!
I worked throughout my first pregnancy and actually went home in labor LOL. . . Frequent breaks and snacks are key! Always take care of you & your baby first!
My midwife told me in the beginning its fine to lift the amount you're used to lifting. When your belly starts to get bigger 20weeks + you should stop using your core (stomach muscles) to lift and only your arms. As for long shifts rest when possible and when you do try to elevate your feet! Good luck! Im a bar tender so that's why my info applys for!
