right at 37 weeks. so many questions

Okay, so im just gonna put them in a list, I went in to the ob today and they said my baby was measuring at almost 35 wweeks (34 and some days) im 36 weeks 4 days. So she is doing another ultrasound but didn't seem concerned, when this happened to my friend they put her on bedrest. is my dr not caring or is this something not important ? I was not dilated AT ALL. Is this going to pose any problem to labor as most people stay dilated at least a 1 for some weeks. I had a strep b test today, ill know the results next week. What if its positive and I don't make it to the dr in time to get the antibiotics.? I've had low iron the whole pregnancy. I think the highest its been was a 9.7 they put me on 2* iron pills a day, but haven't seemed to help much, they tested my iron again today as well ill know the results next week, what if its still low, how will this effect my labor?

    Deep breath sweety. Don't stress out and try and stay calm. Okay measuring small or big is no big deal. Just means you will have a small size baby. Which isn't a bad thing. Your doc prolly didn't seem upset about it cause your not measuring to far off. And not being dialted is fine. You could be one of those that gets up one morning and dialates from nothing to 10 within hours. Don't get upset when they tell you your not dialated. And having the baby depends on not only the dialation but also the cervix getting soft and thinning. The gbs if it comes back positive no big deal just when you start having contractions head start to the hospital and make sure to tell them so they can start the antibiotics. And even if you don't get antibiotics there is a slim chance that the baby will be born and get infected by the gbs. Think about how many women are out there that have gbs and deliver at home or where ever and their baby is healthy. And with the iron I'm sure they will keep a close eye on it. Don't stress yourself or baby out babe

    @homebirthadvocate. Thanks a million :) I don't wanna sound like I know everything but having 5 kids of my own and being in the medical field I know a little. Lol. Doctors get our hopes up when th check and we are not dalated. Its a waste of time for them to check.

    I hate the whole dialating thing. With my second I was at my 37 wk appt. No dialating or thinning than next day out pops my son :p

    They didn't check by ultrasound, my uterus wasn't as high as it was supposed to be an ultrasound is scheduled to make sure he is okay. Thanks ladies.
