My gag reflexes r outa wack!

My gag reflexes r outta wack! I can't even cough without gagging all crazy and wanting to throw up! Why is that? Im not nausiated anymore but everytime I brush my teeth or cough once, I keep coughing and feel like throwing up! Help!! Its annoying now... Oh and im 14 wks prego

    Omg! I'm the same way...Coughing makes me gag & then gagging makes me pee (Tmi). I'm 23 weeks & it won't go away:( I have to build up confidence to brush my teeth b/c I gag, pee(sometimes), gag some more, & sometimes even vomit! Sorry if TMI but I'm glad it's not just me...Lol!

    @Cajunmom...girl!! I hear ya on the peeing part too! This is our 5th baby and my bladder is so weak, I know as this pregnancy progresses I will haveto wear panty liners!! This pregnancy is WAY different than the others!

    This is my 5th too and im 27wks and it still hasn't gone away.I have to brush my teeth slowly and talk myself into not throwing up.I pee on myself all the time.I have horrible allergies and sneeze alot so I pee on myself alot.I wear pads bc pantyliner aren't enough anymore.I've also discovered that since I've been wearing pads so much I've been getting like a diaper rash bc im becoming allergic to pads.

    @riveralove This is my third pregnancy but first baby. No one told me about the bladder problems other than having to go a lot! I dread sneazing, coughing, gagging or laughing now:( I found out about panty liners very fast! Haha:)

    @lucky7 Baby powder or feminine powder like vagisil/summer's eve helps w/ the rash...Sprinkle a little & it helps a lot:) Especially w/ the summer months coming up.

    For the gag reflex you could try 'Great Head' it coats the gag reflex and could help you get through brushing your teeth ect if you could handle swallowing the product its like the inside of a strawberry poptart..not a bad taste,although im not one for jellys it does work wonders lol

    @CajunMom omg why didn't I think of that or my dr suggest that.thank you.I've been freaking out bc its been getting hotter and worse.i haven't used powder since I was 16.im goin to buy some summers eve 2mrw.im very sensitive and use the summers eve wash already so the powder should be fine.do you have the same problem too?my dr looked at me like I was crazy when I said I have a diaper rash but when she say it she said oh.i think that dr hates me anyway.she has no edit or mute button shes says what ever is on her mind.She said to air it out and put a wash cloth between my legs when im home to give myself a break from the pads.it has helped but if I wear a pad just for the day to go to appts and stuff by the time I get home I can't walk bc it hurts so bad.

    Yea you can probably find it at a sex shop and yes its safe i went to a romance party and there were quite a few preggos so she made sure to tell us what was and wasnt safe to use..you can also order it online through pureromance if your not comfortable going to a sex shop

    @lilmomma070811 thank you!there is an airport about 15 minutes from my house and 10 sex shops over that way.im going to go try to find it during the week.im sure at least one of them will carry it.thank you again :)

    @lucky7 I only have it during the summer but I'm in Louisiana & it stays so hot & humid down here! I had like 3 yeast infections back to back while pregnant & my Dr told me to use the summer's eve wash so I got that & the powder. I haven't had another infection & I find myself using the powder everyday & haven't had a rash either. I'm going to feel so bad for my baby boy when he has a diaper rash cause I know how much that crap hurts! Oh, & your Dr sounds like a bit**! Lol:)

    @lucky7 your very welcome hun!!i just took my vitamins and thought it would probably help to eat a little Great Head before taking them as well if you have a problem swallowing pills.only use about a quarter size and wait maybe 5mins before testing it out..at the party she gave us blowpops and had us deep throat it until we gag and bite it and then tried it after GreatHead and amazingly it worked lol i really didnt think it would :)my hubby paid for it thinkin he was gettin lucky lmbo doesnt mean he gets anymore than usual if ever haha

    @lilmomma070811 I never thought of using "Good Head" for that! Omg, I have a tube of it already (TMI) & I can remember hearing that it was safe to use when pregnant...Oh, & I remember them saying it can be used on a baby to numb their gums while teething! 2 birds w/ 1 stone:) Not sure If I want to pull out a tube that says "Good Head" out of a diaper bag?! Lmao

    @CajunMom lol.oh she is the biggest b!+(&.she was my favorite but then with my last i kept telling her toward the end all the pain i was in and she always ignored me.i told her he was big and something else was wrong with me.she said he was 8lbs he was born 10lbs and 3wks after he was born I had my gallbladder taken out which I know I had a gallbladder attack while I was in labor and she ignored that too. I talk to her though the same way she talks to me.she has pissed me off way too many times.there are 3 other drs and 1midwive in the practice so I see them too.which the 1 dr who is the head dr and the midwive I love and they love me:) im in ny so the heat isn't that bad yet.and its only 1 season thank god.im very surprised I've only had 1 yeast infection my whole life.knock on wood.I bet I get one now,my luck,lol.I can't wait to go get the powder now.if I wasn't so tired I would drive to my superwalmart right now.

    @cajunmom it hasnt ever numbed any part of my mouth or gums but i agree pulling out a tube of GreatHead and putting it in your babys mouth would get you some weird looks!!..but orajel and stuff isnt safe either so i try to stick to natural soothers for teething.although i used a little every now and then and teething tablets as long as they arent overly used but they do have a harmful chemical also..it causes halucinations! (Cant spell)

    @lucky7 Haha! Glad you give her the same crap she gives you:) Like we don't have enough going on w/o having to deal w/ a Dr that acts like that...SMH! I absolutley love my Dr, he is amazing & I feel lucky to have him...Must be nice to have one season of being hot! We have hot, hotter, hot & cool:) Lol. I think I would be @ Wal Mart first thing in the morning & going straight in the bathroom when I left the register! Glad I could help out w/ something. This is my first so I can't give much advise on the normal pregnancy stuff. It's nice to actually feel like I know one thing! Lol

    I'm gonna have to invest in this "great head" stuff for various reasons lol.. but my gag reflex is incredible these days. I've only thrown up once this Pregnancy n it was because my dog threw up. I couldn't stand the sound n sight. I have to like take deep breaths when I'm brushing my teeth.. n sometimes when i cough or sneeze, I gag :0&
