I agree ur not born attracted to a certain kind of person but I also feel nothing causes u to b attracted to someone. Perhaps in some cases but not all. I was in no way pushed to b attracted to black/Latino men and nothing happened in my life to make me prefer them over white men. Its just a natural attraction I grew into.
ok well sometimes people don't remember things happening to them because they are so young, the same way I don't remember what happened to me when I was 2. But it still affected me. Also, there are some people that will take things to their grave and never tell a soul. So you can't assume you know everything about someone. Especially.if its considered wrong or shameful.

However, u can't tell by looking at a person whether or not their gay. Just sayin ur reasoning about docs should be able to tell u when the baby is born doesn't make any sense to me..

I think a straight person trying to say how or why or when a gay person became gay or whether they were born that way is kind of silly. Only they know the when or how or why, I think it's really presumptuous to say otherwise. And if a gay person tells me they have been that way from Day 1 who am I to say "no one is born that way"? They know their inner self better than anyone. Just a thought.
@mommie_mcatee ...No that's not what I'm saying, if u read my post completely I specifically said I'm not saying that makes u gay. All I said was that there were always signs of it in him growing up b/c he didn't participate in "typical" boy activities, and when he did it was un-natural. And in no way shape or form was he ever "influenced"...like I said we were brought up with specific religious beliefs that went against homosexuality completely!
I was saying that to show how being born gay isn't true. So how many of you say you have a stubborn baby inside of you? How do you know the baby is stubborn? The baby doesn't know it's being stubborn. So what does the baby do inside of you that says gay? Does a boy roll it's neck on the ultrasound and the doctor says. .. he's a gay one. No lol
By me saying pple are born that way in my opinion I believe its all in the genes..babies don't come out of the womb flailing their arms around sayin hey girl hey! Lol ..but are there pple in this world who say they're gay for attention whether its good or bad..Yes, for those I would say it was influence absolutely. @mommie_mcatee I get what you're saying. I think everyone agrees you're not born that way, but they believe at some point in the persons life it just "happens". Which is not true, in my opinion.
Raise your hand if youcan remember your first thought when you were born! Six months! One year! Exactly we can't even remember that far back to know if we were born that way!
It can also depend on how literally you take the phrase I was born that way. We often say I was born mouthy or I was born independent or whatever trait we feel we were "born" with. As far as who ur attracted to well that comes when you at whatever age realize you find a certain kind of person or certain traits of a person attractive. Call it what you want we grow into who we are and discover things about ourselves as we grow. This is perfectly natural nothing forced just who we are as humans.
You cant help who you love. That is the reality of it all. Does two women or two men in a relationship have a negative effect on society? In my opinion no. So why should there reason for being gay matter. Nobody questions heterosexuals why should we question homosexuals
@aalamillo, so then why is waving a gay pride flag "ok" but if I ran down the st waving a straight pride flag I would look like an ahole?? Having to defend it so desperately clearly shows that somethings not right.
While I did not come out the womb saying I love black/Latino men LOL as soon as feelings of sexual physical attraction came I knew I liked dark hair dark eyes and tan skin and male. I think at that point or those points in our life is what determines who we are attracted to. Not to say we wont be curious and try other things also ad we grow we change and often start liking different things and could become attracted to something or someone different the originally thought. Plain and simple it's human nature.

Well in my case my first cousin is a lesbian. She was never influenced by anyone in her life to like girls. She cried when she was little if she had to wear a dress or got a doll. She wrote love letters to girls in 2nd grade. There is a chemical imbalance in gay peoples brain. That they are BORN with. Some people aren't gay or born gay they just do it just because. But seeing it first hand I do believe.
i believe we are all born chemicaly differen and thats why people are gay or strait.. i myself have never been with a woman but find myself atracted to certain looks and personalitys.. i am atracted to men .. i think its human.. i dont think i would feel comfortable being w a girl.. and in regards to religiin and god, i believe in god and i also believe that god wouldnt let someone into heven for being gay.. thats just rediculoi use especialy wen he has way bigger fish to fry.. common theyr not harming anyone so get over it..
Praying for our third! Slap hands that's exactly how I feel. EXACTLY! how I ended up with that girl. I talked to her got to know her and couldn't help that i liked her! But my first choice is men! I'm not attracted to other women. I just got to know her and liked her more than friends! You hit the nail on the head.
