Are you taking the full 6 wks or are you going back after a week...? I really dont think i should take the whole 6 bc me and bby need money and im scared to get tanf...but i really wanna stay w/ him
I am taking 12 weeks off. 6 weeks is through short term disability and I get 70% of my pay and the other 6 is through FMLA, without pay but I have leave saved up. I am lucky I get to do this, if I did not have the leave or my husband was not able to help, I would go back after 6 weeks.
No bc im part time and they cut my hrs deep at the end of march so i was getting at least 60 hrs a check to have 8hrs a check and i havnt been there long
@blueberrysmom truthfully idk i cant leave bby w/ daddy bc he has surgery tues and will be crippled for 6-8 wks hopefully someone in mine or his fam can watch him
Blueberry is my first and the thought of leaving a really young baby with anyone but my Mom terrifies me. Unfortunately, she lives in Philly and I'm in Jersey so that's not an option for every day care. I guess i'll stay out for 12weeks and then find daycare. I hope you can stay out a little longer and then find someone you trust. Wish I could be a stay at home Mom. Sigh! :-S
Wow I was just having this same conversation with my fiance. I was planning to take 12 weeks off under fmla of which only 6 are covered at 75% with short term disability. We have money saved but I really want to move in september so I am probably going back after 8 to 10 weeks.
Not section 8 just money they only give 400 a month but better then nothing and my fiance is going to work doubles while I'm off. Cash assistance owf is wahat we call it. Ohio work first.
Yeah i feel its not a option anymore bd ruin everything with this surgery i was depending on his money to buy stuff for bby and i honestly dont even wanna go back to that job anyway but thats all i have
@ebbry89 I thought bout doing tanf bcuz just the bd is working my job made me start ml wen I was 8monthes now I haber 3 weeks left so ima have to right bk to work after I have him ...thosr thing is with tanf u have to taken these classes and dey make u file for child support ...
I'm taking 12 wks off, all unpaid because I didn't enroll in disability in time. We've been saving like crazy for over 6months to make up for my missing income during that time
I have multiple debates about this. Although I get paid 66% for up to 12 weeks, I would like to go back after 6 weeks. I'm hating the thought of leaving my newborn with a nanny, but bills pile up. I also have 2 bedrooms to renovate for the baby and my son.
@ghettobetty I have never been to Canton, my hubby wants to though he wants to go to the Football hall of fame. You aren't missing much having never been to Dayton! lol
I'm sure it does!! because you need the $ but stress about how your away from the baby and he is being cared for by someone you just aren't 100% trusting. I only trust his father to watch him, but we work same dept. Same shift, we can't switch hours or we get demoted. I would go down $6hr!
I wouldn't be an operator anymore. It's all about seniority. He's trying to find a day job, so we don't have to pay a nanny.Guys have it a bit easier finding better hrly pay.
@ Ebby89 check to see if there are any assistance program you can apply to to help so you can stay home with your baby longer. I can imagine how hard this is to decide what to do but check now so you have a game plan when you baby comes. This will help with the stress you are going through now. Goodx luck to you and your bd with his surgery and the arrival of you newborn.
