  • Yes take the baby with u....
  • Yes take the baby. Where I am its also the law.
  • I Did... until I moved to hicktown USA. Now not so much. Also depends ob the weather and if I have my oldest. But I'm guilty of doing it
  • Lol yes :) unless its someone else with u.or you csn just use debit or credit@ the pump;)
  • Thanks everyone:)
  • Yes take the bby with u... Especially here in Texas its always ppl that leave there kids in the car at the station n welp before they knew some idiot than stole they car with the kids in luckily they always come back ok
  • I wondered that too...I live in western NY And it just seems obnoxious to take a new born out of a warm car and bring him out into the freezing cold to walk two steps into the gas station...a two minute thing for the hassle of dragging a car seat around lol just another excuse to make my boyfriend fill my car up :)
  • Yes that is why I always pay at the pump. I hate when I leave something right inside the house when im leaving (like mail or my wallet). That is the one and only time I will ever leave her in the car by herself bc its not running and it only takes 10 sec (bc I sprint into the house and back) but I still don't feel right doing it and that's only a few feet away im my own driveway. And im super paranoid about the doors magically locking so I leave my door unlatched too....its only happened twice and I have gotten much better at asking sure I don't forget anything when I walk out the door
  • Yes if not and some sees your baby unattended that my stir up a whir wind of problems for you
  • Haha "oh sorry babe but I had the baby with me I couldn't put gas in the car will you bring it to the gas station and fill it up" :)
  • Good question!! What if my 11yr olds in the car w baby? I usually leave her in the car for a quick run. Now do I gotta bring them both with?
  • I wont even leave my almost 12 year old in the car.. I guess im just paranoid..
  • I have left my daughter in the car to run back in the house to grab something but I live in the country, about a mile off the road and only one other house back there and it's family. I would never leave her in the car other wise. I would rather be safe than sorry even if it can be a hassle at times. Her well being and safety is worth the hassel.
  • Bring the baby with you. I used to work at a service station and all the time people will leave young children and babies in their cars all the time. It drove me nuts!

True your just running in and out but you don't know how long the line is, if there is going to be a problem with the register, or the cashiers themselves! Your 10 second run in can easily turn in to one minute, one minute can easily turn into five minutes and so on! And what if the door locks?!
  • I still don't leave my 8 year old in the car. Not sure when I plan on letting her stay. Maybe when she is old enough to drive herself!
  • Always take baby with you.. Anything can happen
  • I would take the baby out of the car seat, less lugging the car seat!
  • My daughter insists to stay in the car if I have to go in and get a gallon of milk. I take my keys with me and make her lock door. This is a good ? bc with a newborn I'm not sure I would leave her in charge of watching her brother. He may choke ect..
  • That's the law in Iowa...that's why I told my bf I need a debit card to pay at the pump! I wonder about those things too
  • At least I'm not the only one lol
  • Wow.. not to be rude or seem ignorant but I see people all the time do that here. Little town in Missouri. And honestly didn't think nothing of it. Until now. But nothing like that happens around here really but I only will now if its like by the door and I can clearly see my baby. I always take my keys out when I get out anyway so can't lock me out. But I won't at like Walmart or anything if I'm out of site of my baby it won't happen but id rather not wake my sleeping infant to drag them out of the car in the cold. (baby due in Sept). To pay for gas. But I usually use my card anyway just saying.
I know some places have HUGE gas stations I'm talking like around here they are like 4-6 pumps MAX at the gas station..
Just my thoughts.. no bashing ladies.
  • ALWAYS take your baby with you. People are crazy out there.
  • I leave my boys in van sometimes. I live in a super small town, everybody knows everybody, and I can pull drivers door directly to the door of gas station. When the weather's nice I even leave the sliding dooe open so I can see them. They are 7 and 5. I didn't leave my daughter in the car with them until she was 1 1/2, she's 2 1/2 now. But if I am going anywhere other than the gas station, I always take them in. And I ALWAYS take the keys with me, cause ya never know, and its harder to steal a car that isn't running.
  • @kbg10 where you live in MO? I live in richmond

I always wondered the same....then I realize I hardly ever carry cash so I normally pay at the pump anyway. And I only get things out of the gas station if my husband is with me.
  • @4senough right outside of Hannibal Mo.
  • I always park right next to the door so I can roll my widow down and see my baby. It's seriously like 3 ft. Im not going yo pull her out for that. I take my keys as well. If that station is full I go to a self pay outside station and I can park next to that and talk to ny daughter. I don't see what's the huge deal whhen you can walk two steps and your inside and see your baby the whole time. That's my veiw. But, im not ok with people leaving their kids in the car all the way on the othr side of the gas station.
  • @kbg10 that's just a couple hours away from here! When you due?
  • September 18-27th they can't make up their mind lol so I expect sometime between then or before. You?
