    Usually around the 6th month they can hear, but I have read that some sound can be heard by baby as early as 16 weeks but not as clear and developed until about the 24th weeks.

    I've always heard around 20 weeks.

    Im 20 weeks and I was told right now they can hear only muffles from the outside I was so excited LOL!

    Im 24wks and everytime I say his name he starts kickin n now I can see it on the outside :)

    I thought it was later on too...like after week 20ish. But yesterday I swear everytime Jellybean heard his daddy's voice he started moving like crazy! I am sure it was just a coincidence, but I won't tell daddy that;-) I am 16 weeks today, started feeling movements early with this one around 12.5 weeks, and this is baby #4.

    What I read said that it can start hearing at 16 weeks but recognizes voices by 7 months
