Bugaboo vs. Stokke - need stroller advice! *Small update.

edited May 2011 in Just for Fun
I registered for a Stokke stroller but now I'm thinking I might want a Bugaboo instead. Anybody have either one or have a stroller that they absolutely love? This decision is making me crazy and I'm not even due until November. I take gear almost as seriously as my food, though! Lol! Thanks!

  • Everytime I read ur post I smile . We r so alike I think lol. I am not familiar with the stinks but I know the bugaboo if they are still making them the same way has to basically be taken apart or broken down to get into a car. I so love looking ay baby stuff just like u n take my food very seriously as well;-) I was like that with school supplies in school days too lol. This is my fourth n I've been around a fair share of baby stuff ;-) what swing r u looking at?
  • Check out Peg Perego strollers too! That's what I'm getting!
  • @urmomwasright - Hahahaha!!! I love your screen name. It's so true! I've read some reviews and folks recommend the Bugaboo for urban folks who don't often break down the stroller to put it in the car. I live in the burbs so that might be a problem. The Stokke is supposed to be good for that. I picked out the Mamaroo but I don't know if I'll still need a swing. What do you think?

@barb4209 - We have a DirectBuy membership and the prices are super awesome for the Peg Perego stuff. I'm not sure if I really like it, though. I'm going to look again because the prices are good.

@gatorbob - The orbit system always gets super reviews. Supposed to be really good.

Anybody else have suggestions for me? I actually dreamed about strollers last night. It's definitely driving me to distraction!

  • @blueberrysmom ;-) I seen the mamaroo. Thought it was super cool, then started reading reviews n watching video. My last swing was awesome it was the graco I think called sweet pea or peace it was perfect plus I could plug it in but it went through 2 motors. My daughter had been a preemie and at first that's all I would let her sleep in overnight . Before that I had with 2nd fisher price cradle swing n with first I had a travel one.;-) that mamaroo just concerns. Me with reviews, motor n motion. I do prefer my babies to swing side to side not front to backuntil older ..... sorry to ramble LOL
  • Great topic idk what stroller to get so I will look into all these
  • I want the Quinny Zap Extra for my baby. I dont drive and have to constantly take buses & trains and this stroller folds super tiny and its only 2 pieces. And I can attach a car seat to it till my baby is older. I actually think that bugaboo is just wayyyyy to expensive when there are pretty great strollers out there for much less. Like the one I want is only $300.
  • I did some more research and I'm feeling pretty positive about the UppaBaby Vista in black:

Anybody have this or have any thoughts about it? November is around the corner, Preglies! Lol! (hey, that's my first laugh of the day since my crappy work situation. Thank you, God!) O:)

  • @gatorbob - hooooooray! Purple seem to really love the uppababy and the price is reasonable. I want to see it in person. I'm not big into color so I'm happy it comes in black. Just my style!

Omg i had this same problem! I eventually chose the bugaboo cameleon. Primarily bcuz the bassinet was included and with the stokke u have to buy the newborn carrycot for like an extra 300 bucks. But im so glad i got the bugaboo. Its such a smooth ride, the bassinet for the newborn is huge and its very easy to use once u get the hang of it. It is so adorable n u can change the colors of the fabric. I love it
  • I also have the maxi cosi and ♥ it as well...sucks doesnt come with a bassinet.
  • The uppababy was one of my top contenders when I was stroller shopping for my daughter before she was born. Loved it byt went with something else.
