So what is everyones opinon on having not only females but males at their baby shower to? I for one love the idea this way all of our friends and family can share in the excitment of our babies (plus more gifts lol :p)

  • I'm having one. Everyone is invited, I've been to both before and it seemed like the one where everyone was there felt less formal and like a big celebration which is what I want.
  • I don't mind at all. I personally have several male friends and I would be upset if they weren't there.
  • I won't have a shower that isn't co-ed. I personally think it's rude to not include the men especially the father. If you have a girly shower like a tea party or something that's just for ladies only then I think you should have a less formal party for everyone. I have more guy friends then girlfriends & everyone of them have been to my previous showers.
  • Im having a co-ed party i wouldnt do it any other way. i want the father to be include. plus more ppl= more gifts ..
  • I also plan to have a co ed shower. It makes it easier so everyone is normally with someone so you don't have to feel pressured to mingle as much and people seem to enjoy it better anyway
  • My hubby.and a cpl other men will be at mine.. Nothin at all wrong with it
  • I had one with first and it was fun. Had guys games like balloon pop. Make them blow up balloon to what they thought my belly was and put under shirt had to tie and untie shoes who ever did first won lol
  • In my family the shower is always for everyone men women and children. It is a celebration for everyone and much more fun :-)
  • I loved my co ed shower! It was comforting to have my hubby there as well as all of OUR friends! It was so much fun and I wouldn't have it any other way!
  • there is nothing wrong with a co-ed shower. i threw one for my sister, it was a "baby-q". we just had a barbecue at the park (no beer though, that's not fun for the mom). it was really nice, very casual and relaxed. as for my own shower, my baby daddy didn't really want it to be a co-ed thing, so mine was all girls (except for my two gay cousins who just adopted a baby haha). however, he did have a guys "beer and diaper" shower. he got a keg and ordered the ufc fight, and whoever wanted to come watch ufc and drink beer had to bring a package of diapers! we got diapers for over 6 months from doing this. it was AWESOME.
  • I always wonderd why ppl only had girls
  • My family does the Jack and Jill baby showers...I think they're more fun :) we have games where you compete against your spouse and everything! I think its good for the couples coming to the shower, not a whole lot of couples get out together much anymore
  • i'm having both at my shower. ITs just the way we've always done it in our families. Plus, the boys get into the games and its kind of funny. Were doing a game where we will see if the boys can guess daddys belly size.. LOL. he's not fat but we love that game at our showers.
  • We only do co-ed showers in my family! I dnt think its fair to not have the dad involved. He will also want his friends there and i have many close male friends that would love to be there. Plus i have brothers that would kill me if they werent invited. Sometime all women showers seem so stuffy, wen its co-ed its more relaxed n i want mine to be more of a party for my baby
