Anyone else taking zoloft?? My doctor just predcribed zoloft to me but I wanna do some research and ask others about the prescription before I started taking it!?
I think there was a discussion on here and it was saying some of the depression pills cause birth defects so yeah maybe check into the search area that may help as well!!!
Well my doctor said that there were no studies showing it causes harm to the baby and there are no studies that show that it doesn't cause harm!! I am 27wks and almost my third trimester! My anxiety attacks are really bad!! I can't control them and not ony that I am bi_polar too
My doctor told me there were no studies that proved that Yaz caused gallstones and guess what? Had to remove my gallbladder and now I have joined the lawsuit against Yaz so please dont always trust doctors just bcuz they have that MD after their name.
I was prescribed zoloft as a teenager after my dad commited suicide...it messed me up. I know part of that could have been that I was only 15 but I would never risk it again. I have a brother who is bi-polar and it is one medicine that several of his psychiatrists have said that they don't like. It has a lot of side effects. I would continue looking into it more...maybe even getting a 2nd and 3rd doctors opinion. Good job not taking it without getting more info. Good luck mama!
The doctor told me that if I wanted to, I could take Zoloft while breastfeeding, but we discussed it and decided that the risks outweighed the benefits of taking it while pregnant.
Ive been seeing a ton of commercials for lawyers warning people that if they were prescribed zoloft while pregnant they can get a settlement because it leads to seere birth defects. I defibitely would not risk it!! There has to be an alternative
@mommaof3inMI I started having horrible thoughts about hurting myself and others. I couldn't sleep for days and then when I did it was impossible to get me outta bed. I really didn't need it, just my mom worried.
Hat I couldn't handle my dads death and a quack psychiatrist who liked to prescribe pills. It was nuts and once I was off them I was fine back to normal.
doctors hv been prescribing zoloft to pregnant woman for many years bcuz it was the safest, there are no proven facts that it can cause the defects or harm ur baby. Chances r a million to 1 . They dnt make you an emotionless zombie either. Its diff for every¹ & depends on ur personal reason for tking it. Id say ask ur doc more ques if still in doubt but id tk it,its better that u feel better for baby.
I have anxiety too...was on something up until we started ttc...now I take a lot of baths, pray a lot, and my hubby just tries to be supportive. I know that doesn't work for everyone but maybe try it. Have you asked if there's anything safer that your doc can put you on. My sister who is a nurse said zoloft is for depression not anxiety. And to ask about melatonin...its an herb over the counter. I used to use it to help me sleep cause that's when my anxiety was the worst. But ask your ob first.
I actually think the commercials are scams, i seen the exact 1but with the name of another pill,1800 bad drug dosent seem 2 conviencing 2me. You would think if the drug was really harmful 2 fetuses they would be pulled or recalled. I dont believe tv hype.
There is a commercial (it has to do wrtg a lawyer) on tv in vegas about zoloft and a whole bunch more of depression pills and birth defects. Please don't even touch that stuff while pregnant.
