beach + pregnant women = no good

So Im 24 weeks and went to the beach with my mom today , not even there for 30 minutes and I almost freaking pass out. My mom has been a nurse for over 20 years, thank gosh! So she had to sit me down, give me water, and raise my blood sugar so I wouldn't faint. The heat was just too much for me and I should have eaten a bigger breakfast. It was a little scary cause I didn't want it to affect my little girl. Does this happen to anyone else in the heat?

    I'm hypoglycemic so I have to make sure I eat often, and usually I know if I need some sugar because I start to get the faint feeling. Its a pain in the butt.

    @newmommy17 did your doctor just do a blood test to see if you were hypoglycemic or have you been that way? I hate getting that faint feeling! I was fine after I ate some suggary fruit snacks, but still that's never happened to me while being pregnant.

    @cait_septembermommy I have always been hypoglycemic. I found out when I was about 20. They test for it by doing a glucose fasting test, kind of like the pregancy glucose test, but after you drink the juice they draw your blood every 1/2 hr, 4 times!!! Its a horrible test. If that was the first time it happened to you it might just be whatever you ate did not sit well with what your body needed.

    I have fainted cuz of dehydration when I had the stomach flu when I was 12 weeks. I have had this problem of getting over heated before I was pregnant. My dr said it something called the vals vagel (Sp) nerve, and in some people it get over stimulated easily. I have almost fainted from hot showers, sex, standing up to fast. And recently I had brain freeze and almost past out while out to dinner : / its not harmful as long as you don't go crashing down into something or hit the floor. Luckily I've been able to just make myself sit with my head between my legs and take deep even breaths and that helps. Also make sure to have plenty of water : )

    Hell yea this happened to me wen I take a hot shower sometimes I get so hot i get dizzy gotta get out n sit down n drink a glass of water odd isn't it

    Im hypoglycemic too but ive known since I was 13

    I went this past week and had a great time!! I got a sunburn though...and I never usually burn :(
