Ok so I bought pure african shea butter today and I will be using it twice a day! I hope it works to reduce these nasty stretch marks! Anyone else using shea vutter or anything similar?
I think its all a myth these creams, butters n lotions don't help and if u think they do its probably cause u weren't gonna get any strech marks n the 1st place! Lol if ur skins gonna stretch its just gonna stretch!
i use bio-oil n it works realllly well. i cant beleive how crazy good it is. i still have stretch marks but it helps to make them look smaller and less noticable. good luck!
The doctor I work with was in OB for 20 years. He told me to eat a serving of jello everyday and I wont get them. So far so good, but I am only 30 weeks. I probably eat it 5 times a week since 12 weeks. He said the gelatin helps with the elasticity of the skin....worth a shot anyways
I'm 35 weeks and still no stretch marks, I've been using this oil from mama mio and palmers, but its all about genitics. My mom have 4 kids and never got stretch marks, I hope I got what she did, very stretchy skin, we will see in 5 weeks when I have my son.
Don't work! used it somewhat with my first I got stretchmarks lol.. this time I got some body butter just for the dry skin bc that last longer than lotion. And I have like3 extra stretchmarks on each "lovehandle" lol don't worry ladies! Its your mommy love marks .. I'm just glad I have none on my belly just boobs, white one from when I was a teen on my butt, and a couple on my love handles and I still wear bikinis! But I agree with the one who said if you're gonna get em, you're gonna get em.. if you're not, lucky you lol... it has nothing to do with how much cocoa butter you put on everyday.
I've heard it genetic too...u could use all the products in the world but if u don't have a lot a elasticity in your skin they are unavoidable. My mom only got three on her belly when prego. Me on the other hand have them covering all of my boobs and my ass and spreading to my thighs. But none what so ever on my belly. I'm 31 weeks. But yet people say I'm all belly.
@genesis_2011 .. they won't be as noticeable sometime after baby.. like right now they may be red or watever but after the the baby they'll be like your. Skin tone
Idk about the genetics thing because I have them bad and my nana dont have any! She raised me . anywho I hope they fade because it really makes me self concience and even if the shea dont work, it makes my skin soo nice!
