ugghhh everything stinks

edited February 2011 in Pregnant
So I know my smell is heightened during pregnancy... but should EVERYTHING become revoltingly stinky, to the point where I wanna puke... even cocoa butter makes me heave, toothpaste, how can I make it stop???

  • I had to buy a different toothpaste! I also have to clean up my meal as soon as I am done eating because the smell becomes malodorous.

I think it stops after birth. Maybe a month or so after? I don't know.
  • I have that but not that bad. All I can do is get fresh air and away from that smell. I was at the store and 2 teen age boy walked by. They just got done with baseball game. Dang it smelled so bad I had to get out of there. U could smell them a mile away. And some smells follow u.
  • Oh yeah I can smell people so much more now. It grosses me out, makes me feel queesy. It's really annoying
  • Goo, I hate walking near the sea food section of the grocery store. One day the guy was starting to clean it and had all cases open. I didn't walk that time, I ran.
  • ooh, and this little boy at work always has the WORST the breath! I wonder if his parents realize you should brush your toddler's teeth. I can't even have my face near his when he talks.

  • Cigarette smoke gets me the most, I can smell it from miles away. And my bf always seems to stink, I'm like go shower, brush your teeth, you put on too much cologne, he gets mad all the time
  • I threw up 3 times after picking up my dogs' poop when I walked them one morning. Once on the street. I felt like a drunken hobo making a scene. Totally ruined my whole day.
  • That's what I'm most scared of, when baby comes along, will i still be so sensitive to smell. What about when he/she poops or is sick?
  • I've gagged changing diapers long before I got pregnant. It's ok. You just kind of hold baby still, bury your face in your sleeve till you've got control of yourself... and just do it.
  • Ok hopefully it will pass by then, only 15weeks left but senses are still super strong
