@kaloresxcierre omg i love all the lil monkey clothing they make my step mom keeps buying them and then the bought me a carseat/stolerset thats monkeys from babies r us cant wait for it to het here so i can see it in person
@mattandmallory27 you can still do the yankees theme if its a girl. We had a pink yankee bear mobile for our youngest, it played take me out to the ball game
My first son had yellow walls with a cartoon monsters quilt and curtain set and on one wall we put ' Marcus world' in silver lettering and pictures of him all around it so on the opposite wall we are going to do the same with this babies name and keep up all Marcus pictures because u want the room to be both theirs
I got all my crib bedding and stuff for free and its whining the pooh so that's what I'm going with...I wanted to do ladybugs but I'm not gonna be picky...my sons room is choo choos
I am having a boy. My hubby is a drummer and we are both really into music, so we are doing a rock and roll theme in brown and blue. We also got a big drum wall mural that is made of chalk board material so you can write on it.
We have two in the room our baby girl and her soon to be brother. So I did a forest theme with owls and birds on his side (but I may change it to catepillars) and butterflys on her side. With a big tree mural in the reading nook. All of it is in pastel earth tones blue, green, and brown. Including the princess canopy over my daughters toddler bed. Whichhas a white curtain with clouds and a blue canopy top like the sky.
@mrs_shu I thought about doing girly yankee but I figured if he picked what the boy would get I want to pick what the girl gets haha. We still have a while before we find out what we are having I just want to be ready
@artistmamma both my fiance and I are huge fans. My oldest sons room is already full of skulls. If a girl I was gonna do tye dye n peace signs so I'm excited fir the boy. We are putting crooked black n white stipes on half the wall and that corpse bride blue on the other half with a black swirly tree in corner.... I can't wait to start!
We are reusing our nursery from our 15 month old daughter. We didn't find out the sex with her, so we went with a gender neutral theme...Peter Rabbit....makes it east for subsequent babies The walls are a very light celery green, cherry furniture, and the Peter Rabbit bedding has all pastel colors in it. So, when we brought her home we just added more pink to the room with decorations. Now, we are preparing to move my daughter to her new, big girl room...but, we haven't decided on a theme yet. Either purple, teal, and light green butterfly theme or a girlish nautical theme.
@mattandmallory27 you could look into a firework mural for one wall and do different colored stars everywhere. Or snowflakes would seem kinda easy. They could be painted on any wall color. You could do white furniture, with silver or mirrored accents n decorations
The room were using is already a beautiful grayish blue with white trim n furniture. I think ill still work with those colors regardless of the gender. I don't really care for pink. I think I'm going to do like something nature-ish. With a tree, branches, grass, lil birds.. flowers for a girl nn puppies n cute lil bugs for a boy
@gatorbob Hey! I ordered my bedding from CoCaLo Couture...really cute & nice stuff, but also $spendy$ but I came across some bedding that was cute and it kind of reminded me of what you may be looking for! Or maybe even just the mobile and the canvas art set http://www.cocalo.com/item.asp?id=345&brand=6&g=2&coll=&cat=1
My mil wants me to do pink princess.... So doing purple w butterflies and monkeys... Wasn't going to do the monkeys for girl, but they had the cute monkey for boy I liked w bows for girl, so maybe monkeys chasing butterflies lol
@ghettobetty: That...is...AWESOME!!! I wanna see pics, so if you ever post any up on Facebook, be sure to let me know. I think everything Burton does is inspired genius, & I'm slowly building a collection of all his movies. I saw both The Nightmare Before Christmas & The Corpse Bride in theaters, (I was like, 14 years old when NBC came out, I think), & I loved his version of Alice in Wonderland, Sweeny Todd, & old faves like Edward Scissorhands, Beetlejuice, Batman, etc. He is the best!!! Did you happen to see "Coraline" yet? Tim wasn't involved in that one, but it's a beautiful piece of artistry with a great, trippy story. As a doll maker, I loved the concept & dark ambiance the movie had!
Black and white paisley print with light pink trim. I call it shabby chic with a princess twist. Walls will be a light grey, with black & white photos of our princess, a light pink chandelier, and all furniture will be black. I am so excited!
@artistmamma Tim was the producer in coraline and yes we have alll tim Burton movies any he is involved in. My fiance is a huge movie buff and Burton films are our favorite I think I have a drawing of what we are doing in baby room but everything thing is packed up we are in the middle of moving. I will definitely let u know on Facebook when I post
