not happy with work
So I don't know if I'm hormonal or if I should be legitimately upset... I decided to email my manager and let her know I'm pregnant and my due date. Since I have a very heavy job (rn in a very busy operating room) I also mentioned that I don't anticipate the pregnancy affecting my performance for a while as I haven't been sick or anything. I also apologized for not telling her in person because I couldn't find her for the past week.
Well I requested a read receipt on the email and that is all I got back from her. No congrats, nothing. I'm kinda scared because I'm new there and don't even start a full time position for another few weeks... Although I've been working there since september. should I be upset she was so cold about it? Or should I just let it go? Also, I'm pretty sure by my next shift there everyone will know because they ask gossip like crazy, although my manager if the only person I told.
