  • I'm having a hard time finding a van....poo :(
  • @mommabee13 Aww, I hope you find one soon. Im trying to find a job >.< its not easy. I was in school, thats why I dont have one...
  • What did you go to school for?
  • @mommabee13 Well ive had 2 semesters of Photography at the community college and 1 term of the LPN program at Kaplan.... I got very sick and couldnt finish my Photography... and Kaplan is a big ass joke!
  • I was a photography major at the art institute of pittsburgh (online) for two semesters as well.. til I realized I was getting ripped off
  • @KalikoJenie I looove taking pictures of everything!! My mom told me last night she wished I could get a job for National Geographic or something...
  • Whre do you live? I know I prolly seen it in a thread but can't remember :p
  • I would have loved to get my BA in photography but somehow 500000 seems. A lot for the degree when I think I could do better freelance at this point. I mean I do have my textbooks :) and I did learn somethings but.. I dunno. Decided maybe for me it was better left as a hobby. My best subjects are my children :)
  • @KalikoJenie I would love to get my BA in Photography, Nursing, or Culinary.... I love all three! :) but 35000 seemed alot for all the bs drama and lies at Kaplan...
  • Are you gonna go back? Maybe a diff school?
  • Yeah I heard crap about them too. I was thinking about going to a culinary school. I love cooking especially baking :) I love plate presentation. Doesn't help my ex was a 3 star chef and taught me what he knows. I couldn't do nursing.. not my thing, but you do make pretty good money doing it. Wish I could get over the squeemishness I have about blood, needles and oh yeah people who cry make me feel bad
  • @mommabee13 Right now I have just decided to look for a job and save money and focus on my bf and starting our family
  • @KalikoJenie I lived in ND for 3 months and worked at an Alzheimers care facility, so I just provided everyday care for the elders, I loved it! I miss them all soo much. And that was a damn good job, $12.00 and hour...
  • I volunteered at a senior citizen facility. I was part of the activites team and that I could do. It made me feel good inside, but after I saw a few pass I couldn't do it anymore. I always cried for days and it seemed to get worse with each passing person.
  • @KalikoJenie Nobody passed while I was there, but a few almost did... We had a few get very very sick and one of the ladies was alwayyss walking around and one day she snuck outside in the early morning during a rain storm...fell and hit her head and wasnt found for a few hours.... :( everyone felt soooo bad!
  • Aww at least she got found. And your lucky to not have had anyone pass. I mean I know death is a part of life, but I dunno it affects me especially when people die alone, or they die for no reason other then being poorly taken care of.

So how are thing where you are this evening?
  • @KalikoJenie Well i got a bfn...so that made my night bad.... but then I was freaking out because I hadnt heard from my bf in all the bad weather in Kansas and then all my family in Joplin...omg weve been worried about them... and now the storms have reached us....
  • @mommyofangels

Don't worry to much about your bfn you may be putting to much stress on your body for an accurate reading. And if you believe in God our Father, have faith he knows what he's doing. :) I'll for sure pray.

Forgive me, but why is your bf in Kansas?

    Meghan
  • @meghan6800 That is where he lives
  • Oh, okay. Didn't mean to pry. You are stronger than I for sure. I can't even sleep wo my hubby right here.

What part of ne do you live in? My Grammy is in superior, we visit her like twice a year if we can.

    Meghan
  • @meghan6800 Im in Omaha....lol you know representing the hood...NOT! lol...
  • Oh wow... my mom and dad met and married there, God rest their souls. I took my boy to the zoo there not two years ago. The original Spaghetti Warehouse is there too. I just hit mad memory lane.
  • If you like working with elderly look into becoming a CNA (stna where I live) always needed and with baby boomers home health is growiing, it's flexible (like if u wanna continue ur education) and the pay is at least higher than min wage :)
  • @Seifer12211 Thats why I was going to get my LPN :)
  • Ah :) I like being an aide but could never be a nurse I like the direct care not oaper work n pills which is what nurses here to. I'm going for social work specializing in gerontology. Agencies on aging need people :) it'll just take longer now. U still going for lpn?
