labor update!!

Went to the hospital after a long day of contractions only being ten min apart they weren't progressing so I just went in. I am dialated 1cm and contracting every 4-6 min but since they checked my cervix twice and it didn't progress they sent me home. Let's pray it doent progress but it gets better and calms down I'm only 34 weeks.

    They sent u home at 34 weeks? Is there another hospital you can go to that doesn't sound right if you're having contractions! Did they give u IV fluids or medicine to stop contractions?!? I'm not a big proponent for going to the hospital but I would get a second opinion in this case!! There r meds they can give you to stop contractions up until 36 weeks

    @blissmarie23 & @marriedwith_4 all they did was monitor me and baby and had me drink water that's all. I slept through the night for the most part but still feel like crap I have a dr apt this mornin so I will let you know how it goes.

    I agree with the other ladies, they should have pumped you full of fluids and stopped your labor.

    @mommyoftwoprincesses I agree but she just checked my cervix and monitored me and baby. But had me drinking water so idk why they sent me home.

    The same thing happened to me @ 39 weeks...they were so horrible I could hardly walk for a few days, I just layed in bed it sucked but they never became consistent so I couldn't go to the hospital...now its a week later and I still get them but they are only every hour...I'm dilated to 2 my midwife said I'm in labor but its not active labor...its my body getting ready for active labor...she told me last week when they first started they could last days or even weeks before actual labor!

    @mom2bIA0528 wow that doesn't sound like fun at all. I'm headed to the doctors right now so we will see what she tells me.

    @having_a_girl its not fun at all lol I have been trying everything to help it progress with no luck, walking, kiwi, Primrose oil, red raspberry leaf tea, pizza, spicy peppers, sex lol n yesterday she says my cervix is really thin but still a little firm, I just want to see the light at the end of the tunnel! Hopefully its a different story for you! Good luck
