when does a trimester end?

How many weeks does the first trimester end? 12 or 13? I'm on the count down because I wanna be out of the first trimester already so I don't have to worry about miscarriage. I miscarried last sept and really just want tthis baby.

    I believe it is the first day of week 12. I complete my 12th week this Tuesday so I will consider myself in the 2nd Tri! Where are you at?

    One says 12 one says 13 that's confusing. Thank you guys. I think if I make it passed the weeks I was when I miscarried last then ill be a little less worried I'm a little over 6 weeks and miscarried at almost 8 weeks

    I thought the first tri was through 13 weeks, 2nd tri starting in week 14. Idk tho. 40 weeks doesn't divide up equally into 3 so the trimester are not even. I think its 13, 12, and 12, that equals 40 weeks.

    How confusing. All of my preg apps say the end of 1st tri is Feb 14th which would be the last say of week 11 for me Forth preg for me and that's what I've always been told so that's what I'm goin with.
    End of 2nd Tri for me is May 30

    It's more like 13, 13, and13. That adds up to 39.... only a week off. But the rest of these numbers don't add up??? :-?

    Okayy thanks everyone ill just stick to 13 just in case but ill ask my doc at my app on the 23rd

    I read tt it was :
    First tri : conception to 12 weeks
    Second tri : 13 - 27 weeks
    Third tri : 28 - 40

    My doc said its like 13 weeks and 2 days. So when I started my 14 th week he welcomed me to my second trimester

    I read in the pregnancy bible its 14 weeks that start the second, 28 starts the third
