what kind or pregnant classes are there? & what are they for?

I want to do some fun ones and even ones that may help with the birth but I do not know much about any of this. This is my 1st pregnancy....thanks for any answers and help :)

    I took a breastfeeding class and a newborn class. They were very helpful and my husband came which made it fun.

    @sands3 I have a breastfeeding class that was assigned to me through Wic :) I am excited about it and am hoping they may give out breast pumps, who knows. Wishful thinking ;) thanks for your help dear :)

    Since this is your first I would recommend a newborn class. They teach you everything you need to know when you bring baby home. From bathing, changing diapers, and caring for umbilical cord.

    :))) thanks so much...I am just going to look online for it I guess lol and don't they have some classes to help learn what to do while in labor :)

    They do. I heard they are good but I didn't take one. I had a c section.

    I took lamaz (idk if i spelld it rite..lol) classes w l my first...it wuz nice. Dey help yu on wat to expect during labor && delivery, breathing techniques, yu watch vids, learn how to hold da bby, bathe da bby etc. Alot of helpful tips for first time && even experienced mommies! && it yu complete da full course where i went dey let yu choose 2 out of 4 things...carseat, stroller, basinet, && swing. I chose da swing (hint..swings r a blessing aaahhh) lol. && da basinet bcus i had a csection && it wuz easier fa me to get up && my bby b rite there. Dey giv yu goodie bags @ da end w l neat stuff in dem. Yur bby daddy or bf..whoeva..can join && participate..its gud for both of yu specially if yu guys r new to parenting. Alot of hospitals offer dem. Iam gona go this pregnancy too. Gud luck && congrats!!
