@addi3886 you missed the point of the post completely, I'm NOT age bashing. I also commented I was 19 when I got pregnant too. Wasn't ttc but depo shot failed. I'm simply stating that people are ok with a 19 yr old in a less than ideal situation, but someone who is 18 that's almost married to her fiance of years not 2 months, who has their own place and jobs gets basically shunned and told to stop ttc. I'M not the one age bashing, Pregly is.
@excitedforoctober thank you sweetie!!!! I always knew you were a smart woman!
@addi3886 no problem. I think some people just wanna be pregnant and have babies, just to have babies. Sounds great at the time but they don't always think about years down the road where they are going to be, who they are going to be with, is their child going to be healthy? Can they afford to take care of a special needs child? Do they have the time and capability to handle challenges like that. It's oh I really like him, think I'll get pregnant. It's becoming more and more about I want to have a baby, and not I want to create a family.
I get a kick out of how an opinionated post gets a zillion comments and attention but post a non dramatic heaven forbid prego post and you get nothing....somethings never change on this forum
@2girls1boy for the same reason magazines that have celebrity scandals get picked up more than home living ones too ... people love the juicy stuff. It's life, people like to be entertained. You obviously were interested, you read and commented did you not?
@prettymommy86 I dont disagree with your post...i have no clue who your referring to though. My point was about all of these people arguing with you about your simple point of opinion
@addi3886 I'm not talking about this specific person, because I'm not going to judge her motives for being pregnant, but I feel like the world in general is losing the grasp of the whole family dynamic. They are forgetting why people grow up, get married, and have babies. I'm not saying you have to be a certain age, or be married, because I have done it all backwards lol but people are having babies for the wrong reasons these days.
I have to say I do like the girl. But honestly that did cross my mind about only being together a few months. I don't know all her situations. All I can speak on is my own experience. I met my hubby at 16 and it's taken us 8 years to finally be ready to start a family. I know everyones different, but all I know is my hubby and I went through a lot and grew up together. If I would have gotten pregnant at 20 like I wanted I seriously doubt we would have been together today. Thank god my hubby is older and didn't agree with me ttc at 20. But like I said I don't know all the details...... just my experience
@Jess510 Oh there's nothing wrong with liking the girl, you can like someone but not support their lifestyle, or goals. I'm not saying I dislike her at all. I just feel bad for those other girls that everyone pushed away, they didn't even get a chance to know them, maybe they would have liked them too. Nobody will ever know.
It's possible the commenters aren't aware of all the background info. I know I've commented on threads amd then seen another one that had more personal info(like age or living situation or whatever) and I won't comment again because I just can't personally support or encourage what I don't believe in.
@mrs_shu Totally see your point and I think that happened here in a few cases, but I've seen posts where info was given, and everyone is like "aww how cute, good luck to you guys" lol makes me smh. You are one of the rare intelligent ones as well lol.
