I had a c-section with my first cuz he was too big for me. im short and tiny. now with my second baby I want to deliver viginal and natural. my doc recommends c-section with all my kids. :( not something I want. has anyone had a c-section and then delivered viginal later on?? or know someone without any prob doing that?? also heard that the wound can rip when doing viginal birthing...true?? thanks!

  • I had a c section with my first because her heart rate kept dropping she was 3 wk early and only weighted 3lb 12. I'm pregnant again I'm nearly 10 wk I'm wanting a natural birth but have a feeling they will give me a section again. How far on r u and when u due xx
  • im 13 weeks and 2 days...due Aug 19. iv been told that many people do try natural birth after thier c section...but I also heard that your wound can come apart as well when doing natural and thats what scares me most.
  • i had a c section with my first child cause he was breech. i just had my second child two weeks ago and i was trying for vaginal birth and my dr let me i had to sign all these papers though, but i reached 40 weeks and nothing happened so he said its not safe to induce so i had another c section. Its rare to find a dr thar would let u have a vbac, vaginal birth after csection. If u do great, and with that rupturing its a .01 chance of happening. i really wanted a vaginal birth and am so sad it didnt happen now i can have one. I have to have all csections. So if u feel u want a vaginal tell your dr and dont let anyone talk u out if it.
  • I had a csection with my first & am now going to have another with this baby. I wanted to try vbac but the hospitals in my town wont let you, my doc said that the hospitals lawyers have faught against it because even though there is only a 1% chance something could go wrong he said that in most of those cases its fatal for either mom or baby. He said that if I really want to try that there is one dr in town that will let you, but you have to give birth in the office. So not what I want to do so i'm just going to schedule a csection it will be so much easier. & I like the thought of knowing exactly what day my baby will be here :) goodluck to you on whatever you decide hun.
  • i have a friend that vbac-ed twice after her 1st baby.. she did great....but yes it has risk like everything else
  • Thank you to everyone who has helped me out...I'm so hoping that I can pass the c-section this time but I doubt I will since im tiny and since my first boy was too big for me they say that most of my kids will be as well :( As long as my baby is good and healthy that all that matters to me.

  • I had a c-sectn 2yrs ago n im preggo wit my 2nd bby n my dctr tld Mr I hve 2 hve antha c-sectn n im not happy bout it cuz I wntd a vbac...Ugh :'(
  • One of my midwifes actually had to have a c section with her first due to complications. She then had two v backs with no problems. The dr's make about 4 times the money off a c section then a reg preg birth. And they are in and out in 20min vs Hrs and Hrs. They tell the insurance companys what is best to cover and what is not. They are the advisors to the insurance companys. So if hospitals like their c section money, they say don't let um do v backs. And every c section you have is more and more dangerous. I believe the dangers of the second and third are way worse then the dangers of a v back. I would do some research. And watch the business of being born.. Pretty eye opening.
