  • try guvin her dum mor gas drops thats wit o did wit my daughter n give her an oz of water
  • Place a warm cloth on her tummy, bend her knees and gently rock them to her tummy, then back down, then back up..its an old trick my grandpa taught me and it works like a charm, he says 'it makes them go 'thung' 'thung'" which is farting and pooping haha
  • Also if you are breastfeeding cut back on dairy..if you aren't and it keeps up try switching formula

  • @Siyahsmom thanks i will try giving her water in a while she just ate
@garagebandfan i just finished rubbing her belly with warm oil but i will try moving her legs up and down and yes i am also breastfeeding and i drink lots of chocolate milk maybe i should stop :/
  • @Mama_Kat i am still sponge bathing her her belly button has not fallen off but i am working with her legs right now :) thanks
  • Massage her tummy clockwise also ther are pressure spots on the bottoms of the feet in the arch that helps massage there too the best thing to massage baby is with coconut oil its also great for cradle cap. Just took a baby massage class it was great
  • the warm cloth on the belly helps alot, so if the moving of the legs doesn't do it on its own add the cloth... and maybe cut down on the milk and see if that makes a difference..

    How old is she?

  • @mama_kat it works because there is something chiropracters like to call the poop button....its not in the rectum but you hit it when you are holding the butt cheeks together..I agree though very weird!
  • @garagebandfan she will be two weeks old tomorrow
  • So she might just now be devloping the intolerance. My daughter was lactose intolerant as a baby but not until 2 months...
hopefuly she works it out quickly.
  • Is her stomache hard?
  • Give her a tiny bit of Karo syrup in her regular formula make sure its warm she'll poop
  • I was told to give my son a teaspoon of brown sugar in 30mls of water, works within an hour usually :)
  • it was harder earlier @zexy4da011 after rubbing her belly and moving her legs it got a little softer but it was hard as a rock
  • I know that when my brother was a newborn my grandma told my mom to stick a sliver of soap up his bottom. She did and it worked! Not sure if you'd want to try that though.
  • Thanks ladies I hope what i tried tonight will work if not i will have to try something else tomorrow
  • yay ladies :) she finally went it was really watery but she pooped and thats all that matters idk what i would do without u preglys :)
  • If it happens again get infant glycerol suppositries...they work in half an hour! If theyre licensed where you are, im in northern ireland!
  • My sister is also breastfeedinf and she said for YOU to drink apple juice and then breastfeed and it should help. My baby boy is almost 4 weeks old and when he was two weeks he didnt poop for a day abd then the next day he had one messy diaper. Ever since then he has one to two poop diapers a day. Lol its like he.saves it up. And my brothrr told me about the thermometir thing too.
  • @grissy_barria the fact that it was watery shows she wasn't really constipated in the first place....breastfed babies are near impossible to become constipated, since breast milk is just what babies need, its ok for them not to have a bowel movement everyday, however since shes only 2 wks, it is unusual to go without one this early, it might be that she didnt take in enough milk, or possibly those gas drops you have her? Idk about the gas drops because I never used those on my son...if she was gasy it was probably something you ate that caused that ie. Broccoli, spicy food etc.. Well glad she pooped and all is well :) take care and congrats on your lil one
