39 week appt. tomorrow?????? UPDATE

My doctor told me last week we would be talking about inducing at my appt but i'm a little confused as to why...I'm not due til the 5th. Its just strikes me as weird because my doctor is very against inducing til two weeks over. I'm scared something is wrong, I mean I'm sure he would've said something, I just don't want to be induced. I was 5 days late myself and my husband was the full 2 weeks over, so I was expecting her to be late. I just hope. nothing is wrong.

***UPDATE*** I was freaking out for no reason. Doctor said he would induce me friday if I wanted too because he is on call. I chose to wait and see if maybe she decides to come on her own. My next appt is Monday and he said if I'm ready I can choose a date then. I love my doctor.

    It may be that your doc has personal things he/she wants to attend to :( like vacation? If possible, don't let them, because a recent study came out showing that every day counts for development...babies born earlier than their due date had lower I.q.s than ones born on or after. Maybe something else is up with the research results, but just in case :) good luck!!!

    You can request not to be induced. I'm talking to them about induction at my 39 week apt tomorrow as well, but I have chronic high blood pressure. Also, they may just be Getting a plan ready in case baby does go over 41 weeks

    @EiralynnesMommy I just wonder if there could be a size issue. But surely he wouldve said something. Maybe your right it could be just preparing me in case i do go over the 2 weeks.

    My doctor doesn't induce due to size until baby is over 10 pds according to ultrasound. Unless you have a smaller figure, then they might go lower. But, at 41-42 weeks it does start getting dangerous, so they probably want to preschedule incase you go that long. Chances are like 10% I think that babies would naturally go post-natal, which is 42 weeks

    @Beautiful_Altar At 35 weeks she weighed 6'3 via ultrasound and he said measurments were right on so I'm not sure. But I'm def gonna have him explain everything to me. I'm just freaked out cause this is my first and don't want anything to go wrong.

    I was the same way with my first. I was always nervous and it always turned out ok. Sometimes I would make myself sick over nothing. If there was something wrong they would def have told you.

    She might come very soon hun considering you're 4cm already!! :D I sure hope so! We are sooo close! :) Hoping I get good news at my appointment tomorrow! We both need tons of labor dust!!

    @MommyOfTwoPrincesses I know!! Im soo ready but i want her to be ready to. My back has been killing me since we left the doctor. It's like a sharp pain in my very low back and then my stomach thightens but no pain in my tummy. Are these considered back contractions? Can being check throw you into labor. I hope you get good news too maybe you'll be dilated and they will keep you hopefully. :)

    I agree hun, hopefully these girls will be ready very soon! Id say start timing those contractions, they sound like back contractions, I had them with my first. Its sometimes hard to pin point that you're actually having contractions with those, and yes sometimes cervical checks can throw you into labor!! :D I hope that's what you're experiencing and you have your little girl soon! Oh im really hoping I've made some progress and he keeps me. He wants to induce me soon because im having excessive swelling and my blood pressure is a little high so hopefully I get good news!! :)

    @MommyOfTwoPrincesses He said you only had to be at 1 to keep you, right? Are you still having contractions? Sorry so many questions i'm just beside myself i'm so excited for us both.

    Yep he did. That's what I was at with my first too. Im still having contractions every 3-5 minutes from about 6pm to 5am then they stop but always seem to come back stronger the next night. He said if im regularly contracting and 1cm he wants to break my water so hopefully that will be tomorrow and hopefully im 1+cm :) im so excited for both of us too!!! I cannot believe how close we are!

    I hope your 4 or 5 cm and it goes by fast. Have you been using anything to help?

    I've been using my birthing ball and evening primrose oil at night so hopefully that's helping! :)

    Hopefully!!! I used a birthing ball but was scared to use eveing primrose oil.

    I was scared to use it with my first too but I talked to my doctor about it and he said its good to get your cervix ready. I refuse to use Castor oil though....yuck!

    Lol I was so scared to! But I just sucked it up one night and it wasn't too bad, you don't need it now though your cervix is very much ready all by itself! Lol
