Zoloft. Help please :)

my husband has anger issues, he has been really bad latley, everything in my house is broken, holes it all the walls and doors, given me bruses' the other night he choked me, and then finally relised what he has been doing, and relized its time to be a man, this is not right and get help (other wise he wont see me, his son, and baby #2 for a loooong time) this morning he went to the dr. and got precribed zoloft, so I have been googleing it, and apprently some people it has been magic and to others it has caused unstopabul rages (has me scared for my life) has anybody taken this and has it helped them or made them worse, I understand there would be all more negitive comments about anything on the internet! Please pray that this will help him, and everything will be back to normal foe us. Fingerscrossed

    Also he has red hair. I have noticed redheads seem to be alot angreyer!

    It works for some others it can make suicidal but that is any anti depressant I think it is a good idea for him to try it but u just be careful because u don't wanna b around him when he is acting out for ur safety and ur kids

    I took zoloft and it calmed me down so much that NOTHING bothered me. When it comes to bills that is really bad. And (tmi) I could no longer reach the big O by myself or my man it was terrible. Just depends on the person but I can see how you're scared tho. Usually it is a gradual increase of anger though not just suddenly so just keep an eye out, make sure he takes it the same time everyday and remember it takes about 2 to 3 weeks to kick in. good luck love and if he chokes/hurts you again you kick his ass out and make him go to full on counseling

    @akmommy I was the same way. So stressed out I couldn't o or have my period. I slept all the time and was angry with my husband. I didn't take zoloft though I was put on welbutrin which was a miracle pill for me.

    But did it make you angrey? Or caln you down?

    My husband took it before and it turned him into a total zombie. He said he just laid on the couch for days and just sleep.

    zoloft worked wonders for me in the past. Definitely calmed me down and took my anxiety away.. But, along with @akmommy, I had the sexual side effects. However, I was in such a dark place in my life that the zoloft saved me! The pros out weighed the cons.. But, I know it isn't for everybody.. Gotta give it a few weeks to really see a difference.. good luck..

    It calmed me down for the most part. But it did give me some sleep disturbances
