So I just made this fabulous Valentines day dinner. A whole chicken, mashed potatoes, stuffing, veggies, gravy, biscuits, the works. And all I wanted was the potatoes and biscuits. I basically had to force myself to eat the chicken. It tasted great but for some reason I can hardly eat meat of any kind. Anyone else feel that way??

    I had a huge bowl of honey bunches of oats (w almonds) for breakfast
    cheese and special k crackers for lunch
    And I just ate a big bowl of kix for dinner
    yummm!!!

  • Seriously all I want are carbs! I mean I loved carbs before too but its almost like I can't stomach anything else...oh and I made my bf give me some of the v day treats I got him: fruit rollups, gushers, and reese cups...his faves lol

  • I never really liked steak. I went thru this cheeseburger phase for a couple months before I was prego, and I've always loved chicken and turkey. But now, ick. I ordered spaghetti a cpl weeks ago and the lady asked if I wanted meatballs and I almost threw up at the thought lol...

    I used to love chicken but now I try and eat it, it just tastes wrong... but I did have a Thanksgiving toasted sub from D'angelos last week and it was ammazziinnggg!!!
  • I am feeling the same way...my weekness has been pbj its like the only thing that will settle me tummy...the smell of meat cooking makes me sick....I've had a hard time cooking for the family....the sickness must end soon
  • The funny thing is I haven't had morning sickness at all (knock on wood lol) so idk what my deal is...I wonder if special k protein shakes are ok to drink...I gotta get it somehow!! Lol
  • I just saw a commercial for kashi. They made a cereal with as much protein as an egg per serving...and since a serving is probs like a half cup, for us preggo chicks we be eating like 4 cups at a serving!! Lmao perfect!

  • I try to eat eggs too, but they also turn my tummy. Damn poultry and poultry products!

  • I always want to eat bagels, english muffins, Hawaiian rolls, sandwiches, pastas of every variety, potatos (mashed, salad, fried) help me, I think I have a problem...1st step right, lol

  • Maybe the meats are a little harsher to digest, so your body is telling you to avoid it? I don't know. For a few weeks my nausea was so bad all I wanted was easy to eat grains. Meat tends to be a little greasier, and greasy foods would ruin my tummy for the day.

    Sneak proteins in. Peanutbutter is alright. Maybe you could put some leftovers in a sandwhich. Warmed up on toasted bread might be yummy. Cheese on bread, too.
