not feeling baby kick as much!

edited June 2011 in Second Trimester
Im 22wks 2 days and i use to feel my lil baby boy kick and roll all the time esp at night. But lately its been like 2 days and i can barely feel him kick at all, should i be worried or is there just not enough room for him because im pretty small for 5 months.

  • I'd tell my dr. I dont think @ 5 months he should be running out of room... Dont know tho. I'd def let my ob know.
  • I had the same thing happen right around 22 weeks too. My doctor said it's normal to feel less movement at that time. He said they don't get consistantly active until later. It was true in my case. I'm 39 weeks and I have the wiggliest baby ever. I literally went a day or so at 24 weeks with no movement, or so I thought. Turns out I just couldn't feel it. Hope that puts you at ease.
  • Yea i think its pretty weird i just had a ultrasound last week and everything was fine i dont have another appt until the end of june
  • Yes thanks it does i was thinking he was just being lazy lol
  • It might be too soon in your pregnancy, but you could try doing a kick count. Drink something fizzy, icy, or sugary and lay on your side. Focus in on the kicks, rolls, punches, wiggles, any baby movement--even a hiccup--for an hour. See if you can get ten kicks (kicks=movements). Good luck!
  • Yea i read about counting kicks i may start doing that soon if he continues to not be active. Thanks

  • I wouldn't too much I went through that I was feeling him and then it stopped so much then it started again every woman is different and some don't feel until well into their 6 month
  • Mine is doing the same thing he will kick here and there but some times I don't even notice he is doing it. I'm hoping when I.get further along he does more and I can tell
  • I called doc about not feeling a lot of movement at 25w they told me that baby is still small and don't recommend doing counts until 28w
  • I'm 22 weeks and I cant feel him move. Still kinda sad about that
