Comments

  • how far along are you? How long are they lasting?
  • @happymommyof2 Im 40 weeks 2 days over due and their 2-3 mins apart within 1hour & a half!
  • Yea for you sounds like a baby is on its way
  • I've been having contractions, too, im due in two weeks, being induced next week, but im already dilating. Midwife said I could go anytime. I had contractions for about 5 hours yesterday, took some tylenol and went to bed. They went away sometime in the night, only to come back today.
  • My doc told me to call the hospital if their 2-5 mins apart if contractions continues within 2 hours so I don't wanna go up there if they suddenly stop soon as I get there @4senough
  • Just curious... I've seen quite a few preglys post that they've taken tylenol & if makes their contractions stop?? I've never heard of this before, if its true labor tho, it shouldnt stop, right?

  • @babygirl716 I believe so.. Real contractions are consistant! !
  • But it WILL stop braxton hicks??
  • Yep. That's why I take tylenol, drink water, and go to bed. If they stop, its definitely not the real thing.
@Gabrielalecoco with my last, we went to hospital like 5 times, only to get sent home. We got so frustrated, when real labor started, my stubborn a** was in denial and I didn't make it to the hospital, baby was born in the van.
  • Wooooo! Sounds like baby is coming. :) Keep us updated!
  • @4senough I believe these are real im relaxing & they still are painful

@babygirl716 yes they do stop braxton hicks

@fate I hope so I don't wanna go to the hospital & I have to.get sent back home bt then again I don't wanna have a bby at home or on my way to the hospital
  • %%- hope u go in tonight hun!!
  • I would definitely go... otherwise you might not make it in time. Goof luck & congrats, hon!
  • @4senough oh how scary! How far away is the hosp from you? Did your husband have to deliver your baby?
  • Thank you both @jaime77 & @vette_devil yeah im gonna call my doc
  • @Babygirl716 the hospital was about 40 minutes away if we followed the speed limit, needless to say, we didn't. Our daughter was born going 95 miles an hour down the highway. Dad drove, I caught the baby. We got to the hospital about 10 minutes after she was born, and there must have been about 50 medical staff standing outside waiting for us. It was scary, trying to get the fluid out of her lungs so she could breathe, trying to keep her warm, it was november, and chilly even with the heat on. We were fine, and went home the next day, but I don't want to do it by myself again.
  • I would go in...since you're 40 wks + maybe they'll just keep you anyway! Good luck!

  • Well?? Did they tell you to come in?? :D
  • @Simplyraven22406 not really. Im one of the lucky ladies that doesn't feel contractions till they're really strong. I used the bradley birth method, which focuses on not fighting the body and using meditation and breathing to allow the body to do its job. I only yelled once, and she was already crowning. She was my second full term birth, so I believe that made it easier for me too. Im going to have this one natural as well, just hoping to make it to a medical facility before birth.
  • Any updates? Hope all is going well!
  • @4senough one of my husbands life long dreams is to deliver a baby Haha he wants me to have a home birth so he can deliver it! Haha
  • @garagebandfan we got a midwife this time, and he is going to catch this one, with midwife assisting him. We are so excited, and we had to have a good story for her birth, her older sisters story is so unique.

  • Its possible for them to stop but hopefully they wont and you'll have your baby tonight!!! Good luck!! It at least sounds like early labor to me.
  • I'd like to catch mine in the tub this time!! Hopefully I can! @4senough. My labor has started and stopped like that 3 times this pregnancy!! It's been driving me crazy. Just when I start calling people to take care of my daughter and my doulas to make that drive in everything stops. I may end up having the baby at home because I feel like I won't even know when I've hit active labor this time.
  • The real contractions stop now its braxton hicks again, I have an doc apt tomar! So I'll keep you posted! :-)
