My dr checked me at 36 and everytime id go in after that id tell them id feel a bunch of pressure and the nurse would ask me if I want to be checked and id say yes lol.
My doctor won't check you until 38 weeks for the reasons Ashleyfew said. Most docs won't induce you unless you are at least 38 weeks (mine is 39) so they don't see the point in checking you before then.
I know it is frustrating... you crave some sign of how close you are! Aghh and I am so impatient!
I'm due Friday and have been checked 2 times, I'm sitting here waiting now to be checked and the nurse asked me why r u here if u were seen Friday not much has changed, but my midwife made the appt. With the doc cause baby has not dropped. Irritated with the nurse right now been sitting here since 4 and itsz almost 4:40
Starts at 36-37 weeks. They won't check you prior to that unless you're having painful contractions etc because then they will give you meds to stop the contractions and baby from coming unless your water breaks. I'm 37 weeks and haven't been checked yet but I don't want to be until I'm in active labor because its not the most enjoyable experience it hurts sometimes.
I was checked at 35 weeks but only cus I had a previous c section and decided to go vaginal this time and I get checked at every appointment now cus I was 1cm at 35 weeks its pretty uncomfortable so I wouldn't be too anxious lol
