We're here, getting things under way. So far everyone has been really nice. My sister is in a high risk room down the hall, so having her just around the corner in very comforting. She was admitted due to early labor, but they were able to stop it--she's here for the night being observed. Hubby just brought me some ice, and they're starting my IV here in a sec. I'm getting Cytotec tonight, and the doc will be in at 7am to break my water and start Pitocin if necessary. We are so excited to meet our little man after 39 weeks and 3 days of waiting :-D Updates to follow...

So they broke my water an almost an hour ago. What a weird sensation!!! Baby is doing great. My contractions are getting stronger but not horribly painful. Ruh roh, they just started the pitocin. Keep rootin' for me, y'all!

Well, ladies.... I am STILL in labor. Arg! They've made me pretty comfortable. Baby's heart rate drops with my contractions, so they put an internal monitor in. My husband and mom are here still. I am just so damn hungry--that's the worst part of it all! Come out, come out, little man... so many people are ready to meet you!
