to go or not to go? advice!?

My pregnancy has had no complications and I am currently 35 weeks along. my whole family and I are planning to travel 6 hours to seattle to see the rest of the fam in 2 weeks so ill be 37 weeks(full term!)at that time. The dr said today he does not give me his blessing to go just incase I go into labor early. I have been looking forward to this vacation and its much needed so I'm sad that dr doesn't approve. What do u ladies think...like what is the percentage or chance ill go into labor early. Also bf/bd isn't coming and I REALLY don't wanna have my little man without him there? Ugh I'm stressed now! I wish I knew the future!

    Its only 6 hrs. I say go. And the first signs of anything being wrong go back.

    I say don't go; the stress of travelling alone could MAKE you go into labor, even if you're having fun. And if the father can't be there, that's a moment you'll never get back & probably never be forgiven for. My best friend's first baby was born at 37wks 1day... so I CAN happen.

    I'm from Seattle area and it is soooo nice here that time of year....you should come! I traveled the week before I was due, six hours is not that far away!

    Well ill be there for 4 days. Would I be able to survive 6 hours in a car if I started goin into labor!? Plus I will be going from 3,000ft to 5,000fr elevation to zerowithin those 6 hours and I heard that affects it. I'm just wonderin what u ladies think cuz it may just help my decision!

    I drove back from AZ to CA an 8 hour drive at 37 weeks I was fine....

    I say don't go. You could end up having your baby in a strange hospital in a strange town and a strange doctor, without your bd. Or worse, end up laboring in a car for hours. Also, it is recommended that when traveling by car you stop every hour or two to get out and walk around...will your family be willing to turn a 6 hour drive into an 8 hour drive, more possibly with all the bathroom breaks? I have to pee like every half hour.

    U will be fine Hun and besides its not like they don't have hospitals there just in case its a fast delivery but do be careful and try to come back if anything happens and make sure u get out of the car and walk arround every 2 hours to help circulate your blood have fun!

    If he is saying that then he must have a reason. I say nope cuz he's a doctor nd ur paying him to give u the best advice there is so I think this way.....don't waste ur money nd listen lol sorry bt whether or not u have Medicaid or insurance its still money being spent for his advice. don't risk it sweety. I'm a worry wart so many may not agree. sorry Im rambling. Hope u find a solution.

    Dont go. I am supposed to take a 4 day trip when ill b 38 weeks, but im too worried ill go into labor.

    The dr has never been personable so honestly I wouldn't care if he delivered or not. And he is known for loving c sections with patients so that worries me. I heard that they don't want u traveling cuz they won't get paid for delievry and that's the part they hate. Maybe ill just see how I feel a lil b4 then...geez I just don't know

    Lol, everybody must have horrible doctors cuz they seen to think all the advice they give is about gettin paid. Ur doc is not on call 24 hours a day so if u deliver n he's not on call he still don't get paid....... I think he is telling u rite now whether I chose to listen or not thats up to u. But I wouldn't go , its cutting it really close

    I say don't. Only bcuz u already have a sense of doubt and this maybe part of ur intuition....don't chance it its better to be safe then sorry....u can always plan another trip ....but there's only 1 birth of ur baby...n since u say the dads not going I would wanna stay close to him...
