@bri2186 you aren't supposed to get tattoos during pregnancy because your hormones are crazy and you can have an adverse reaction to it, when normally you wouldn't. Also you tend to bleed more when you get tattoos during pregnancy.
And @janellesmommie you can get one while breastfeeding. I plan on getting one if we can afford it or for my 21st bday.
Any reputable tattoo artist would not tattoo you when you are pregnant anyway. The reason is due to the risk of infection. Your immune system is already not working at full capacity and getting a tattoo at that time can cause infection and the stress of the tattoo on your body can cause miscarriage. The ink does not enter your blood stream, not during pregnancy or any other time for that matter.
