Name troubles!!!!

I'm 26 weeks pregnant with my first, a baby girl, I thought we had a name picked out then two weeks ago my boyfriend decided the name we picked out was too plain and he didn't like it so now I'm trying to come up.with a new name. I had a few but everyone kept saying "oh I will call her ---- for short" and I hate it! Now I am having an even harder time finding a name!!! Am I being too picky or do other mothers have the same problems?

    Ummmm hellloooo I'm 27 weeks prego with my first girl... and I have no idea what her name will be.. also in my family she's the first all my cousins have two boys including me with 3 boys... so gosh darn it its been super hard. Ild like her name to be meaningful but my grandmas name is petra...LOL this girl name thing is killin me

    Im 22 weeks and we don't know what were having yet. I've read all the baby name books, checked the lists at social security website, and nothing FITS... now im tryin to find a name that means "no name" cause i don't think it'll get a name before we come home with it.

    I love that name but that's my boyfriends nieces name sadly she passed away of a brain tumor when she was two

    I liked peyton then saw an article in the paper recently about 10 or so babies being named peyton in the surrounding area...its a small town! i took that name off my list of possibles...I'm afraid its going to get overused! but it's still a cute name!

    My 5 year old is named Makenna. I LOVE her name. Nobody calls her mickey or kenny or ken or mack. I just put my foot down and said absolutely none of those nicknames! Her full name is Makenna Jo (my name is Sarah Jo and my mom's is Amy jo) after she was born my sister and her kids started calling her Kenna Jo and I love that too. But more often than not we just call her Makenna or on occasion Kenna. Just dont let people use nicknames you dont like, I'll be honest I've "brainwashed" her just a little to think ken kenny and mack are awful names so when (its not often) people call her those names she says thats not my name and I dont like it!

    I've had a name picked out for years emily. Then my sister in law had a baby two months ago knowing my girls name and names her girl amalyn I was so so upset so now I am 33 weeks and have to think of a new name its hard im thinkin sierra or destiny or aspen now still not sure.

    I hear you! Before we knew what we were having I told one of my friends my name I wanted for a boy n girl then she calls a week before I found out the sex m three weeks before her due date to say she wanted my boys name! Well needless to say I through a fit n eventually she changed her mind even tho I'm having a girl I still want my boys name for my future baby. So I now only share my possible girl names with u all n my family since they are trying to help

    I wanted to name our girl Mckenna and call her Kenna but the Hubby said no. I love the name though.
