  • Just going to put some tips I read because I haven't ever had a baby but read up on it after my dr told me that my baby is still breech. I'm only 26wks though so I still have a ways to go.

    -Breech Tilt Exercise
The breech tilt exercise is simply taking your hips above your heart. Some women do this with pillows stacked under their hips. It's probably easier and more stable to actually lean an ironing board on your couch and lay with your head towards the floor. This works by encouraging your baby to leave the pelvis and flip. Remember, babies want to be head down. It's all physics.

-Cold at the Top of the Uterus
Using something cold at the top of the uterus of fundus, you can encourage your baby to move away from it. Since babies want to be warm and snuggled, this means they will often move away from the cold sensation. A bag of frozen peas works well. Be sure to do this with at least a thin layer of fabric between you and the peas.

-Heat or Music at the Pubic Bone
A positive spin on getting the baby to move, is to play music at your pubic bone or even shine a flash light. Babies have been reported to move towards the sound or light. You might even combine it with the above tip.

    -Moxibustion
This is a form of Ancient Chinese medicine that involves burning a Moxi stick near a special point on your baby toe (Bladder 67). This should be performed by a practitioner of Moxibustion. Moxibustion has been studied and proven helpful at turning breech babies.
  • With my daughter I felt like my hips were out of alignment and my lower back hurt. (She was breech at that time, 36 wks.) I went to the chiropracter. Had an adjustment and she turned head down that night. There's also a website called www.spinningbabies.com (or maybe .org) that you could check out. They could offer suggestions
  • Thanks @rckprincess2 and @blissmarie23 :) I really dont want another breech baby! My daughter was breech and had her by c-section. Doc said to have a vbac, I really need him to flip by july 4!
  • My doc told me to not lay down during the day and when I sit to sit leaning forward like a man. But shes been head down since 30 weeks
  • I did the same thing @blissmarie23 did, and it worked right away! :) I kept going every week just to make sure everything stayed in line and she stayed head down. She is now a week old born vaginally! :D
  • Hmmm maybe I should try that. How far along were you guys when you went to the chiropractor @MommyofTwoPrincesses and @blissmarie23 ? I am 33 weeks tomorrow. And thanks @Proudmommy8789, i'm willing to try anything safe to flip my little one :)
  • I was about 34 weeks :) at my 36 week ultrasound she was comfy and head down. Make sure you drink tons of fluids too so she the amniotic fluid builds up and baby has room to flip.

  • I flipped my baby within two days. I did frozen potato wedges and music in my lower part of my abdomen. Good luck and fyi I didn't feel her move back down so your baby may be flipped
  • My baby just flipped Wednesday night! I don't think I did anything special. I was scared he wouldn't turn, so I looked at a few websites for advice just in case he hadn't turned by 36 weeks. I'm 32w5d. Hope your little bundle turns soon! Think positive thoughts! :)
  • Oh and get on all fours for 15 min at a time it will move him
  • Thanks everyone! I hope he flips soon and stays down :)
