Dr talked to me about inducing when I hit 39 weeks to ensure that I will not get stuck w the terrible dr I had been dealing with.. who has had elective induction and how did it go?
I was induced at 39 weeks because of kidney problems. I had no problems during my induction. The contraction do come faster and they do hurt a little more than natural labor.
@baby4injuly how long was your 2nd labor? I just had my second and labor lasted 1hr 50min but I was induced. We already are thinking about the 3rd and baby #2 is only 15days old lol
@baby4injuly yeah my first was 20hrs. They are only 15mo apart so that's prolly a big part of the 2nd one being such a fast labor. Kinda makes me not wanna wait too long before having our 3rd lol
My dr told me he doesn't induce unless he medically has to until 39 wks. Because the baby is more developed and there's less chance for the mom to get stuck but I had to have a c section with mine due to her being over 9 lbs so he didn't even want to try inducing me
