Is It Meant To Be Bad Luck To Get Baby Bits Before Ya 3months...

. Im nearly 2 & a half months wiv my first baby, and my friend gave me sum baby bits a couple of weeks ago & is that meant 2 b bad luck, as thats wot I got told but i havn't bought anythink yet, jus hope everythinks okay wiv the baby, I supose its best to start buying at 3 to 4 months init, wot do use think.?

    Baby bits as in things for the baby? If so then yeah it is just superstition. I bought my diaper bag at two months and I am now 34 weeks with a heallthy baby boy!

    I dnt think so....i bought stuff when I was 10w I'm now 23w 2d with a perfectly healthy baby boy.

    They only say this because the first trimester is higher risk of miscarriage. i couldn't buy anything until 16weeks as had mc before and just could not bring my self too. but if you want to its up to you.

    I waited till I was 6 months b4 I started buying anything. I jus wanted to be on the safe side. Now im 38 weeks with a healthy baby boy

    Yeah think thats 4 the best, jus guna w8 tik another cuple of weeks b4 I start buyin baby bits like cot, pram n clothes etc, supo se every1s different but best to w8 after 3months jus incase sumfin happens, fingers crossed tho...

    Nah i think your allowed to be excited to be pregnant, its all superstition, i know i got a couple of little bits to start with and have just got stuff as and when i have seen it if its a bargain, then getting pram and stuff after 20 week scan, not sure why but just feel id rather know pink or blue before i buy a stroller that will probably be black and silver lol :)

    @three_cats_n_a_baby ... Yea defo I agree wiv u there, n gota get ur bargains hey, jus cant w8 for my 1sr scan too see if babys okay n that, so wen do u find out if its a boy or girl.? :)

    I waited, mostly cause my dad is superstitious. Didn't really do anything for baby full late 3rd tri which was stressful.

    No it's good to be positive and excited. People are so negative and weird about waiting til after 3 months to do anything. Enjoy yourself and celebrate;)

    i dont think its bad luck.. but i myself like to find out what im haveing first and make sure that all is well in the whome before i proceed.. so i dont have to deal with getting rid of something went wrong.. god forbid.. i know dont like to think that way but thats just the way ive been.. i usually buy at least one nutral peice of clothing at around 3 months lol.. just for fun.. but im 21 wks and havent gotten anything.. just waiting.. monday i find out.. hopefully .. this lil one corroperates.. lol

    I bought my crib at 13 wks and had the nursery up at 18 wks :) ...that's after I suffered a loss with my first pregnancy at 7 wks so yeah I didn't let that affect me getting excited at all. So go ahead and go bananas with it lol

    I just found out I'm having a girl and I'm super excited to start shopping, I'm 20 wks. I went to price some stuff at work and one of my managers kept telling me I was shopping too early. Her daughter has had multiple losses after 20 weeks, so she is more nervous than me. I already bought a sling around 10 weeks.

    I didn't buy anything till I was like 5 months I don't think its bad luck cuz I told everybody soon as I knew
